The Restaurant is hidden on the bottom floor of Loxton's House it is a old sand stone building. The Restaurant has not been there long. The food is great 24 Mains , 10 Starters and 3 Indian Desserts it is a must for anyone that loves Indian Cuisine.
I ordered the prawns and it was not touristy hot let me tell you! All the food is delicious, beautiful fresh fragrances and flavours. Roti and rice are great sides. The feel is what makes this place, with it's trinkets and stone walls. You can drink alcohol here. Staff are friendly. Portions vary in size - most meals are not quite enough to share between two unless suited with sides. However, the chicken TM entree was massive!

Hunter Belle Cheese is a family friendly Cafe located in the Upper Hunter Valley of NSW. You can come & taste our delightful range of cheese all made on site from the milk of Local Brown Swiss Cows. Enjoy coffee, cake, Breakfast, Lunch or indulge in our specialty Cheese Platters. Fresh fusdge & gealto are made at the factory as well. Viewing windows into the cheese factory allow you to see the process (weekdays only) Friendly staff & a Educational wall mural as well as a display milking cow make this a must stop visit. See you soon
As a local, this Cafe was a favourite, but in recent months has been a hit & miss with both food & service. So we went elsewhere, but yesterday thought we'd go back, to see if things had improved.
If a cafe advertises they are OPEN till 4pm, you expect to be able to order from the menu till 4pm. A note on the front door stating kitchen closes at 2:30 is not enough-please update your website and in house menus stating these changes.
When we departed yesterday, you lost a great deal of trade with people travelling through town- who were wanting food.

Got a chicken and salad roll. I love the fact you get to choose what you want on it opposed to other places that sell them pre-made. Fresh roll and ingedients so was pleased.

We are lucky the restaurant was opened on an Easter Sunday night and first impression was that the place was relatively big, clean and reception was friendly. There were 2 young Aussie girls at reception and doing the serving. Drinks came quickly; same with the entrée of spring rolls which we were advised were made of pork and vegetable but they only had veges in them. However, the mains took nearly 40 minutes to arrive - king prawns with butter and garlic was good; combination omelette was okay, noodles were tasteless and the large fried rice was okay. All up, paid $99 for the lot. One positive thing is that their ladies toilet was clean :)

Visited on my own traveling with work on a Monday night. Can always mark a Chinese in the quality of the short soup broth. This was flavoursome and hearty. Tried it and was surprised as I generally add soy and chilli to improve the taste. No need. I also had char siu (BBQ pork) chow mein which I did add a little of the chilli / soy mix to. The pieces of pork were very fresh, tender and sizeable. The portion size was also generous. I have tried the other restaurant in town but would not go back after eating here. All in all good value great country Chinese. Service was friendly too.

My husband and I have dined at the Remington many times now, enjoying their breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Not once could we fault the friendly, attentive (but not intrusive) service. The meals are always delicious with generous servings and amazing taste combinations that keep us coming back for more. They have vegetarian and vegan options and the chef is more than accommodating with any dietary requirements you may have. The cleanliness of the restaurant is always of a high standard, including the restrooms, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Already planning my next visit.

Originally established in 1955, Kasha is Muswellbrook's oldest established cafe, serving espresso coffee, milkshakes, hot meals, toasted sandwiches, muffins, slices & more. Catering is also available.
Located midway down the arcade, a little hidden but well worth stepping off the main road to find. Nice coffee and toasted Sandwich and yes they had Lactose Free Milk (a rarity in NSW). Staff were friendly and welcoming.

We were here for breakfast and had a pretty average breakfast, edible....nothing fancy or original but the coffee was good and well made.
Pleasant service from the kids working there.
If you just need food and coffee before driving on this is as good a place as any.

Ninety One Café Bar and Restaurant is open for Lunch Tuesday to Saturday from 11.30am to 2.30pm and for Dinner Monday to Saturday from 5.30pm til late.
Staying at the motel next door, tired and hungry, this was an easy option and as it turned out a very good result.
We had an olive plate ..... sensational! Followed by; T bone steak and a Barramundi. The steak was actually rare as ordered and the fish beautifully cooked.
Our waitress was delightful and was very attentive.
We would certainly return when in town.
In summary, a great atmosphere, excellant food and just a very pleasant night.

Food is always good, plentiful & fresh. Depends on the staff how efficient you can place an order. The price to add gravy is absurd, it is less than half a cup amount. There is a lovely cake selection but I don't think you can go there for morning or afternoon tea , locals would know , sign states lunch & dinner hours.
