Münsingen is a municipality in the Bern-Mittelland administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. On 1 January 2013 the former municipality of Trimstein merged into Münsingen, and on 1 January 2017 the former municipality of Tägertschi also merged.

Visited during the 'Circus' theme and was throughly satisfied. The service was wonderful, friendly and informative. The location is beautiful. The converted hothouses made for a romantic setting on a cold and rany night in Bern. The food was inspired, and delicious. The wine list is extensive. Yes it is on the top end in terms of prices but well worth it and I would recommend Eisblume for special occasions.

Die Tafel vor dem Löwen erinnerte mich an meine Kindheit: Suure Mocke mit Stock! Vor sicher mehr als 40 Jahren hatten meine Mutter und Grossmutter dieses Menü jeweils gekocht. Das Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, der Service sehr schnell und freundlich. Zur Vorspeise gab es einen sehr guten Salat mit Speckstreifen und Pilzen. Die Hauptspeise war leider etwas zäh und vor allem fehlte die Sauce zum Kartoffelstock. Aber der Preis von Fr. 29.-- für das Menü inklusive Vorspeise war absolut okay.

I do not understand why I ignored this restaurant for so long. Its proximity to the Belp station allows for easy access, its opening hours are normal for Switzerland (we don't work on Sundays). Maybe it is the general idea of going to an Italian restaurant that didn't appeal. In Switzerland there are plenty of Italian restaurants where you can get a decent pizza, but anything else is a challenge. Not so for Puccini.
Food: 9 from 10 points.
Whenever you have something Beef (Entrecote or filet) the waiter should ask how you would like it (Rare, Medium, Well-done) and it should be brought like that. Puccini cook did, including a very tasty side dish of grilled vegetable. Though expensive the quality offered justifies the price. Children's menu is slightly limited (4 dishes only), but in my opinion sufficient for a very good price. There are some good wines on the list and surprisingly the open wines are available in a wide range as well. The 1 point loss was that the medium required beef filet came signon (rare), not a point (medium). Due to the quality of the meat, this was however a minor issue.
Ambience 8 from 10.
The interior is cozy, even when some Christmas flower arrangement catches fire and the stench was around for a bit ;-). Benches around were a bit uncomfortable, even with the available pillows.
Service, 7 from 10
Slightly disappointed. We may have been there at a wrong time, although, when I came in, 3 waiters were not occupied, nobody rushed to welcome us or take our coats. Nobody really said goodbye either. Food was however brought speedily and with a smile.
I will come back here.
Advice is to make a reservation though since especially during the weekends this place is swamped.

If you travel to the bernease Oberland, make a stop in Wichtrach, go to the small railwway station. the restaurant is just there. Renewed and with different rooms. Bright, light, modern, the cuisine is excellent. There is a young very innovative couple, they offer a daily Menu at lunch time or a special season 5 course menu. The place has a fumoir. Service is quick and attentive. Food is delicious. Presentation is a success and over all this is a nice place to spend a nice meal with friends, business partners or with your souse. If you select the season menu the price is well calculated and not over the limit. Midday menu is even on a very low level for the region.

Food is always the same, helpings get smaller and smaller, prices get bigger and bigger, wine is very expensive and staff is not always in a good mood

If you feel like eating Pasta like in Italy, visit this place just oppisite the Railway Station in the middle of Munsingen. Service is friendly and quick and Pasta and Pizza are very nicely done.

We stumbled across this Restaurant by chance and we are so thankful we did. We unfortunately do not speak any German however the proprietor was very welcoming and explained the Menu with his little bit of English . We are so grateful that he took the time to explain and we ended up having a really delicious meal that was something like a stroganoff served with pasta! As we had been up since 4pm and just flown over from England it really hit the spot. Would highly welcome this place, it's really clean with very friendly staff and well cooked food !
They do not take credit cards.

At noon, two daily changing menus, one Vegi, one with meat, before you can put together your own salad on the buffet or you choose the soup of the day. a tarte flambée or a typical Swiss meal as a meal; take your time and enjoy it. Hospitality and good ambience are our top priority. I had a pleasure to visit this restarurant. Really great and nice place for eating and spending time :) Awesome atmosphere, profesional services, taste food, nice place for enjoying time and have fun with friends or alone with Reading books inside or outside. Everything is possible there ;) If you have chance, go there and make your own opinion.

The Klösterli Pub in Münsingen was founded as one of the first classic British Pubs in the region in 1991. Twenty-five years later, the second generation took over and refurbished the bar, giving it a mediterranean touch. The owners came back after ten years in Barcelona and brought along an extensive list of Spanish wines, tapas and cocktails. The public is very mixed, and the ambience informal. On weekends, they regularly organise events with DJs and live bands. Their program is available on their homepage and on Facebook.

Fingerfood & Bier: Dafür ist man hier - nicht für mehr, aber auch nicht für weniger. Statt Restaurant würde ich auch eher Kneipe, Beiz oder Lokal sagen.
Ist schön hier für ein gepflegtes Bier oder einen guten Whiskey.
