Entree. Chilli squid - Charcoal prawns. Both excellent.
Mains. Lobster mornay excellent. - Surf and turf. All excellent except steak. A nice piece of steak served almost raw. Menu says "medium" still blue in the middle. Rare at the most.
Desert. Fig with icecream- excellent.
Wine list is limited. Suggest bring your own, if you want a particular wine.
Overall a very good place to dine.

Asian Cantonese Fusion Cuisine Restaurant
Having lived locally we tried this place for the first time last night and boy we were impressed. Nothing you would expect for this calibre in Mordialloc. The chef tapas menu was amazing. Every dish was an absolute delight. Beautifully presented and so flavoursome. The ginger pear scallops and the crab dumplings were absolutely sublime. The dishes came out way too fast for our group and we had to request to slow down. We had a few dietary requirements on our table which they performed remarkable to our guests. But the desserts here are the winner who would have thought. Our dessert platter was very decadent, the bombe alaska and the salted caramel parfait is got to be one of the best I have ever had. This place is got to be one of the best asian fusion places we have been to. Can't wait to come back!

Best hotel in the southern suburbs.
Was here for lunch with girlfriends. Service was great, the “music” was far too loud on the outside deck and we all had difficulty with hearing each other because of it, just like others around us. The lovely waiter listened to us when we requested for the sound to be turned down. Yes! Thank you!
The food was very nice, plentiful at a reasonable price.
We would love to come again and enjoy the food here, but not the thumping sounds which are not necessary. A little suggestion: it would be nice to have background music, maybe Latin, French, Italian or something else that works with either the cuisine or the atmosphere you’re creating. Just a thought.

Local Identity
Quick cappuccino coffees while waiting to be picked up by the daughter after arriving in Mordailloc station. Very attentive and friendly young staff. Both Cappuccinos were excellent. Only gripe no WiFi but this seems normal in such establishments in Australia .

What I loved the most about this café was how obviously happy everyone was to be working here. The staff were having a ball, whilst being efficient and turning out great food. There's easily as much Seating outside as inside and on a Sunday lunchtime both areas were full. The patrons were a very mixed bunch from gen Y's to a large table of very smartly dressed ladies in their 80's. The menu was good with a large breakfast selection but plenty of lunch items too. I had a bagel which was very fresh with ham, cheese and tomato and my husband a souvlaki which came with chips. The coffee was great too and we will definitely go back.

Situated in the old "Tote" building of the former Mordialloc Racecourse, now the racecourse estate.Family and toddler friendly
Although with an unusual location these guys have an excellent and very friendly service. The bar has an excellent selection of premium Australian gins that are sure worth a try. We had a selection of tapas specially designed to go with and these were outstanding! Please do drop by.

I went to Manow a few times already. It is a nice place , staff is friendly and quick. I usually order chicken with cashew (yummy), once I had a crab salad , but did not like it really. I recommend this place.

This has become our new 'go to' restaurant. It's warm and inviting. Staff are welcoming and the food never disappoints. You can share almost everything on the menu, so great for anyone like me who wants everything on the menu. There's always a small specials board with interesting options and the wine list has some lovely options by the glass.

Reviews for here are all spot on. Shared entrees, gyoza was really good, tempura prawns yummy, tuna sushi, salmon sashimi, teriyaki beef, all very tasty. Will definitely be visiting Tanabe again, still plenty to try. Service was really good, overall an enjoyable evening.
Glad we have this restaurant local, we too travel to the city for good food.

Great place to catch up for drinks with friends, specially on a Wednesday night when it is trivia night and how could you go wrong with a $10 parma, very yummy. Also the tapas food was great. highly recommend the calamari and saganaki. Trivia was heaps of fun, time between questions could be shortened though to make for a slightly faster game. Certainly will be returning and recommending to friends :)
