Stopped for lunch on our way from the east coast of Florida to the west coast. Had read reviews and they didn't disappoint. Wife had fried chicken tenders and I had a grilled cheese sandwich. Food was fresh and served hot. Waitress was attentive. Portions and prices are reasonable. Many interesting and delightful signs hung on the walls. Bright interior and very cool air inside the restaurant. Easy to find if you look for the red building exterior. Be sure to sit in big rocking chair out front and have your picture taken.

Not a wide variety of places to eat in Moore Haven, mostly franchises like Subway, Burger King.
If you are in the area and like or would like to try for the first time Mexican food give Antojitos a try and I think you will be very happy.
From the outside doesn't look too impressive. Inside has an order window where people can also wire money. That is the only possible negative but once you've tried the place that is not a negative.
First, inside it is neat and spotlessly clean. Not what you might expect from look of outside. Also am told the ladies room was also very clean.
Our server was wonderful. He went to college in Orlando and spoke great english which was a real help to us so he could describe items on the menu. Each item described sounded better than the previous.
Two of us had the fried gorditos stuffed with either chicken, beef or pork. The gordito is fried then cut and stuffed with differently prepared meats. If you have a variety like I did you will find they each have their own unique taste. The third person had hard tacos with beef. And of course we each had the rice and beans. The beans were tasty, delicious and more authentic then in a lot of more expensive Mexican restaurants I have visited.
One thing while the restaurant has a picture of what appears to be a mojito they only serve soft drinks and beer.
Bottom line anytime I am back in Moore Haven will definitely stop and eat at Antojitos!

Sherry former owner of Sherry's Hideout restaurant at the North Lakes RV Resort moved down the road a mile or so. Atmosphere is homey, food is great and the prices are reasonable. Life entertainment on Friday nights and daily specials. The staff are very friendly and know their locals well. They will even cook your catch for you.

We were traveling on the road looking for some place unique that we could just stop, eat, and go. We were in-between breakfast and lunch and saw Kurbside Treats and said 'what the heck, we will give it a try". So glad we did. Very small place, only a couple of tables. Very laid back, but extremely attentive, and helpful staff.
Here is our experience: As I said we were on the road, hungry, and ready to stop. We like to try new and different places and decided to 'make a memory'. When you drive up be prepared for a very small, no frills building, with a horse in the back outside area. When you walk in expect a very small 3-4 table restaurant, with just a couple of employees. Don't let that fool you, they are VERY ATTENTIVE to your needs. We came in at the end of the breakfast buffet, but we were told that we could still get the buffet and they would fix anything we still wanted fresh. I wanted fresh pancakes, they came quick and were very good. Now, the best part. They asked if we have ever had their ribs. No, we were just passing thru. They brought us a sample of their ribs to our table. We plan to take that same route another time and will definitely order the ribs. While we were there people (locals) came in and ordered food to go, it looks like that is most of their business. This is a down home, southern style restaurant. You will get ribs, greens, burgers, pulled pork, and so much more. Their motto is "Taste Our Passion! It's food for the Soul. That should tell you a lot! Give it a try. I can't wait to see other reviews! Good Job!

It's raining very hard and I'm having a hard time seeing the road so I stopped for a few minutes until the storm clears out. I decided to get a drink while waiting. Friendly people here.

In Between Moore Haven and Okeechobee is Lakeport, but no post office so the address is one or the other. Very open cafe with good food but no beer. Biscuits tasted home-made.

Gas prices are convenient at this place. Steak and cheese sandwich up to Subway standards. The service is very good and the servers friendly. We keep going back on our way to our hunting lease.

Stopped for breakfast for a quick take out breakfast. Was surprised at the breakfast options offered at Burger King. We tried and enjoyed the breakfast burrito and croisant bothe had egg, cheese, and sausage. We waited for our order to be freshly made.
