Getting sick on vacation is a major drag, but if you have to be under the weather, Montpellier is an ideal place to do it. People have studied medicine here for centuries—the Moors established medical schools in the 9th century, and the Université Montpellier’s school of medicine was founded in 1220. Once the local docs give you a clean bill of health, explore the cathedral, mansions and opera house.

Literally just finished the €25 two course surprise (there is no menu) set lunch. Wonderful experience. 2 amuse bouche's, a starter and a main dish. Quality French cooking and good service Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return. Would be surprised if you could get much better for that price.

Trout done in gravadlax style on a bed of pea mousse with a delicate slice of radish. Crab meat raviolis in grey shrimp stock, with snap peas. Slow-cooked beef with asparagus, fondant potato, mushrooms and diced citrus garnish. Marinated strawberries with basil mousse and crushed crunchy nut biscuit. This was a Friday lunch to remember, full of flavour, French cuisine just as it should be. Highly recommended.

I love talking and listening to people who are so passionate about what they do. The owner runs the show by himself and is very enthusiastic about the entire process of the food coming from the kitchen to your plate. There are only 5 tables so make sure you book and give yourself time to enjoy the experience.

Empanadas, food on the go, take away, argentinian wine and beer, homemade, mate, Quilmes, gourmet desserts homemade
Amazing empanadas with delicious fresh salad. Wide choice of fillings. Very friendly staff. Extremely busy at lunch time. Desserts were also very nice - we recommend the Nutella and banana empanada!

I am so glad my hotel managed to get me a table here. Initially they were booked up but they managed to find me a spot for one. This restaurant is fantastic. Bouillabaisse was wonderfully flavoured, beautifully plated. Steak was so tender and melted in my mouth. Service was impeccable. Highly, highly recommend

I must start this review by saying that I am not a whisky lover. Given this fact, I was initially skeptical about what a restaurant themed around Jack Daniels could offer me. I was all too happy to be proven completely wrong and to have had a top class dining experience!
The first thing to mention is that Le Pat's Daniels is a remarkable one man show, run by the larger than life host Pat who does everything from taking your reservation via Facebook to cooking you a delicious meal to leaving hilarious selfies on your phone!
The welcome was superb as Pat chatted to us about the food and the concept of the restaurant as well as introducing his wife. We quickly started with the food - I had a highly enjoyable foie gras. The mains, however, were the real showpieces with ribs in jack BBQ sauce and fall off the bone lamb shank leaving us in a food stupor! Delicious!
We finished off some tasty desserts and a chaser with gusto before a hilarious photo shoot with a jack Daniels cardboard cut out and pat himself!
Top food, top welcome - this was not a meal, but an experience!

You don't want to miss that. The owner cooks all the meals, and it's all the best meals from all over the world. The cook created her meals from the different trips she made in Asia, Africa and the french Islands. There is also good meals for vegetarians.
In the same time, it's cheap, you'll eat for 12 to 20€.

The only Argentinian restaurants that I know are steakhouses, so this one came as a surprise! We had a bunch of empanadas (pasties) and they were wonderful. My dinner partner is vegan (don't ask) & even she was happy with the selection. Had some matte...MoreThanks Arjan for your visit. It was a pleasure having you as a guest and sharing some of our culture with you.
