I've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed! So many flavors, so little time, and the kids who wait on you are always polite and helpful! I like to think Huell Howser still haunts the place with his big smile and wonderful charisma!!!

This cafe and gourmet shop is like something straight out of France. Absolutely beautiful inside, with unique gift items, pates, pastries, chocolates, cheeses and other delicacies. The cafe looks like a room in a French chateau. Unfortunately we arrived less than an hour before closing, so the cafe part was already closed. The two gentlemen at the counter were incredibly kind, encouraging us to sit at the outside tables and providing us with everything needed to enjoy pate, crackers and dessert. They even opened the pate for us and provided extra wrapping so we could take the leftover home. They truly went above and beyond! Everything was delicious, including the cafe au lait and cappuccino. This cafe is a treasure!

My husband ordered the crab and kept repeating, “This is the best crab I have ever had.” That is saying a lot as we usually seek out Michelin rated restaurants when traveling. My fish fillet with basil was also very aromatic and delicious! Can’t wait to return! In the end, it was Memorable!

NBC has been around for a while in Monterey Park as a place for Chinese style seafood and dim sum. It used to be a dark and unfriendly place over 10 yrs ago and I was pleasantly surprised to see a remodeled and bright/open space with plenty of parking. Food is just as delicious - but this place is one of the pricier places in Monterey Park. The waiting system is also super efficient - they assign you a number that is shown on a tv screen when your table is ready

Have never had boba before. Enjoyed the taste and the different choices. Very filling. You wait in line, pick the size and flavor - which there are many. People friendly - our kids took us there - might have been a bit overwhelming on our own. The tapioca balls in the drink were very unique.

Savory soy milk, plain hot soy milk, fresh hot Taiwanese fried dough, scallion pancake omelet, black sticky rice wrapped around fried dough, pork and pickles. The simple wonton noodles soup is sublime. The noodles were soft and chewy, and the soup was savory with flavors of Chinese celery and white pepper. Waits during lunch rush may be long, but worth the wait. The young woman at the register managed reservations, take outs, payments, tables, orders, and managed the restless customers with great charm, humor, aplomb, and salesmanship. Credit cards not accepted, cash only.

This is a huge, beautiful banquet facility on Atlantic Blvd., in Monterey Park. I really liked the dim sum and the prices were very reasonable. It is very noisy and hard to hear the conversation at your table. We arrived after the first wave of carts went through the dining room so we got what was left and it took a long time before more carts with our favorites appeared again from the kitchen. That being said, it is a good value.

This place was bomb.com!
Sooo good just thinking about it makes me wanna eat here right now.
The problem with this place is everything looks, smells and ultimately tastes delicious lol.
Not expensive at all.
I recommend ordering the jumbo shrimp dumplings
I didnt really love the pork dumplings but they were good, I think i wasn't digging pork that day.
The scallop dumpling were good too but Id pass on them next time, unless we had more people, one piece was plenty for me.
With the chicken wonton soup, my friend and I were over the top, deep in a food coma.
Too good. Way too good.
Parking sucks lol

I'm not a pastrami fan but the hubby is so we tried The Hat from a recommendation from a cousin who loves pastrami sandwiches. We might have over expected our experience as we were disappointed to only like the sandwich. There's a lot of meat but it's not very juicy and you still need to dip it in the au jus. We ordered the Pastrami Dip and Roast Beef with dip but only 1 small container came with our order which did not seem sufficient to make our meats moist enough. Maybe they already dipped the meats in the au jus like other shops do but it still wasn't juicy enough if they did so. The servings were quite big and we did not finish our orders, especially the Chili Fries which is really a lot. Best to bring a buddy to share your order.
