Dharma is a five stars (For the location) hotel restaurant which is located in the heart of Montana, if you are looking for a classic all inclusive luxurious place to stay while Surfing in Paradise you cannot choose better than this hotel.
The beach is about two meters away from the outdoor restaurant with incredible sunset and fresh fresh seafood and beautiful meats, the staff is highly knowledgeable and courteous always trying to fulfill your culinary desires.
I give this location a 5 as I did try to find downfalls but failed.
Thank you Gus !!!

Lovely hostel with great location on the beach but 10 mins walk from the nightlife. The food was simple but lovely, and the room was spacious and bright. Would have liked sheets as well as blankets and warmer water in the showers. Stayed in 2 other hostels in the area and this definitely wasn't the cheapest. but reasonable value for the size of room. Only major issue was the walls were very thin and there were a number of small children staying so not great for getting back after bar hopping or having lie ins in the mornings.

We went here twice in a single week. We live near Montañita and wanted to eat pizza, when we arrived here the staff all greeted us and were really friendly. Once the food came we were in HEAVEN. We've had some pretry good pizzas in Italy and around the world, and we can say that the pizzas here make it easily to our top 5. There is two opinions for the size, big or small. Big is with 8 slices and small with 4. The big is big. On both occasion we took some slices with us back home.
We highly recommend this place for anyone who is in the Montañita region and want the best pizza in town.

Terrible restaurant. We felt treated like a piece of sh**. This unfriendly service replaced us two times because of a bigger group. All what counted was to fill the restaurant. They pay no attention to customers. If we are not important enough, we can easily spend our money somewhere else. Burger are prepared in advance and they are not even able to add some onions to it!?? French fries had too much oil on it, Coke was expired on date Feb. 2018 and had no sparklings. Worst restaurant after 5 months of traveling through South America. Congrats for this achievement. Never again.

This Sandwich i can eat everyday. Funny fact i never knew that by drinking neem you reduce the risk of being bitten by mosquitoes. So drink Neem it kills bugs that bite you and parasites, tastes yummy with a blend of manzanilla, huayusa, and maybe a bit of honey too.

On a recommendation visited Shanka today for lunch. The location is great! On the North end of Montanita beach, right on the water. The lunch was decent the lime pie was to die for!!! We would have gladly offered mucho denaro just for the recipe. The service was slow and we didn’t appreciate the wandering pit bull whom was friendly enough but sat and begged at our table

Pigro is a tyipcal Italian restaurant. Our interaly homemade meals came from the traditions of differents regions of Italy, but mostly from the northern ones, where our chef's born. The place is meanted to be like a typical Italian "trattoria", where good food, music and a warm aura are melted to make you experience a taste of Italy.
This is the perfect place to come with a group because unlike many Ecuadorian restaurants, Pigro manages to serve the entire party and pretty much the same time. The pastas a delicious and the house red wine is really good. I've had ravioli, lasagne and fettuccine which were all large portions and really tasty. Don't fill up on the house bread even it is great. The ambiance is cheerful bohemian and there's great people watching. All in all, it's good all the components for a great dining experience in Montnita.

This place is a full-on sales pitch. If you can't find anything else, or you like this sort of place, do check out exactly what you're buying before you buy it. A lot of the staff speaks English, if you speak English better than Spanish, but they don't, trying to confuse the matter. Pretend like you don't speak Spanish, if you do, then work a better price. The food is purely average tourist fare - beer $4, while right across the street at K-Chay Club it is advertised for $1.25. There is live Reggae music sometimes, and live music is rare in Montanita. Stay out of their gift shop/tienda unless you want to pay twice the going price you find elsewhere. All in all, take the time and effort to find something else . . .

We've been to Rocio several times on different trips to Montanita. It looks upmarket but the food is reasonably priced. I've had the seared tuna and some of their fish specials, all cooked perfectly. The greek meze is very good too. Wine is not too expensive, the only thing that they should change is that using a bank card adds on a huge surcharge (I think it was 15%) so added on to the IVA (12%) it's a bit of a jump from the prices on the boards.
