Having seen previous good reviews we decided to eat here. Food was OK but nothing special and service was poor. Admittedly we were the first customers to arrive but the young woman waitress was hardly welcoming and disappeared for long periods of time leaving no-one front of house.

This is the restaurant attached to our hotel, but we ate here three times in our week there, because we liked it so much. Interesting food, using local ingredients, and all definitely a cut above the average, served in a pretty little courtyard setting, just off one of the main streets in Modica Alta (the high town). Service was invariably excellent, with a good (if not sensational) wine list, and a great set of suggestions. Meals came in at around €100, from an already hazy memory. Don't go just expecting pizza or lasagne: they're very much aiming higher than that, and succeeding.

Nice atmosphere. Serves vegan, vegetarian, organic Sicilian specialties.
This restaurant is the proof that bio and vegetarian cousine do not mean little flavour. Quality recipes with local products served with great attention for customers. Staff is very kind, helpful and ready to answer to any question about food... Absolutely to reccomend.

Wonderful handmade pasta, and best charcuterie I have ever had. The service is very friendly in this family run place. It is a little hard tofu d because the address lists psi a modica road and it is actually off the road to the right going toward modica. This was one of the best meals we had in Sicily. The room is a spacious, stone barn like place. Only downside is the giant tv playing euro pop in the background. A great find, and not expensive.

wine bar, happy-hour, light dinner. Is not possible menu gluten-free or vegan.
We visited early evening, without having seen any of the reviews. What a lovely place. We were really interested in trying different Sicilian wines and sampling different grape varieties, and we really appreciated the advice and the wines selected. Paired with a little platter of...MoreWe are pleased to have satisfied your evening in Modica. We hope tosee you again. Kindest regards.

My wife, 3 year old daughter and myself dined here a week ago. In my opinion Accursio is one of the top restaurants I have ever eaten in and the quality, coupled with the service received are simply second to none.
First off the Chef, Accursio is one of the nicest persons I have met in this industry and he is very friendly and his grasp of english is also good. His staff are also extremely professional and helpful. I read an earlier review criticising the sommelier - in my experience he was very nice and extremely proficient in his knowledge of wines and his manners were exceptional.
On to the food, both my wife and I opted to have the fish set menu which was delicious. Starting from the cold tomato soup with pieces of bread in it followed by the melon soup with sea urchins, the fish burger with deep fried scales on top and the pasta with Tuna Roe one undertakes a journey of the seas. However i have to mention the stuffed onion which was a truly amazing dish as were the two Deserts - the stuffed egg and their take on tiramisu!
All this food was washed down with a fantastic wine called Donna Grazia which paired magnificently with all the dishes. A truly memorable night out.
