One of the world’s fashion capitals, Milan offers endless opportunities for chic shopping. Hit the artsy neighborhood of Brera for leather goods and Via Monte Napoleone for exclusive, expensive boutiques. The enchanting mosaics and glass vaults of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II make shoppers feel like they’re wandering inside a painting. Take break from your spree to gape at the iconic Duomo, then grab tickets to a performance at La Scala. Post-opera, the Navigli district pulses with late-night activity.

Am not really a fan of (traditional) Japanese but like the modern ones. This is absolutely the best meal I’ve had in years and will be for me a repeat every time I go to Milan. Superb degustation menu, fantastic wine list for every pocket, great setting, spotless service. If you go to Milan, please put Iyo on your list!

VUN Andrea Aprea, which claims two Michelin stars, is a pleasant venue offering an interesting and sophisticated gastronomic experience in refined and elegant surroundings. In designing the new environment of restaurant VUN Andrea Aprea, architect Flaviano Capriotti focused on the culinary experience offered by Chef Andrea Aprea. The result is an environment in which the protagonist is the food. Furnishings, accessories and decorative elements are the tools that accompany visitors during the restaurant’s sensorial journey. The environment is intimate and cosy, with elevated attention to every detail. At Restaurant VUN, the philosophy of Chef Aprea surprises and excites everyone who tastes his food. Its strengths are technique and innovation, combined with simplicity and respect for traditional Italian cooking. Restaurant VUN features a private room for 10 people that is ideal for intimate events and for enjoying new levels of quality and exclusive service.
We expected more.. Amuse bouche was flawless and very creative. Bread & its presentation very nice, first course still nice and then it went somewhat downhill. Risotto was killed by acidity from lemon and tomato, John Dory was totally overcooked, pigeon was great, dessert was fine. In summary a nice dinner but sadly, we would not make a detour to come back. Service was professional and good throughout

If you are in the area the place is def worth visiting. It is cosy, you can see a lot of Italians there, the owner receives his clients with smile and kindness. Tasty and fresh easy food (canapa pancakes!) for reasonable price.

Being tipped off by our young adult kids with a good appetite, we found this meat market + restaurant (i.e., tables scattered around the main meat counter with neon lights) off the beaten track. The variety of horse & donkey meat was huge, and for those not fond of horse/donkey meat, there was a slightly smaller selection of beef. Apprehensive at first about having to drink from plastic glasses, we were saved by getting a bottle of lovely red wine (without the price margin that restaurants would normally sell it at) accompanied by real glasses. Some of us were also given a proper (non-plastic) knife. When realizing just how typical and Italian this place was, we were sooo relieved to come across a lovely young women whom we called the “Tripadvisor girl", who guided us through the whole process in perfect English with big smiles. It was just a lovely evening for us all.

Under the watchful eye of acclaimed chef Antonio Guida, two Michelin-starred Italian restaurant Seta has fast become one of Milan’s most talked-about dining destinations. Updating traditional recipes with his own creative culinary techniques, chef Guida’s menu offers an exciting, contemporary take on classic Italian cuisine. Located in the hotel’s second courtyard, the restaurant’s timeless design offers the perfect backdrop to chef Guida’s dishes. Featuring wide glass windows, inner and outer spaces merge into one, offering guests the opportunity to dine outside during the warmer seasons. Inside, a visible kitchen allows diners the opportunity to watch our chefs at work, turning the dining experience into a piece of theatre.
Very stylish, chic and modern at the same time. The hotel lobby had an event, was really crowded, was quiet an adventure get the table. The saloon is beatiful, but in winter the beautiful garden was closed. The food is special, precise and well executed. The risotto di vegetali con Macagno was really special and perfectly executed. The pasta, the lobster were really tasty. First class products. Very good, but taken a little to long and honestly cant see why it deserves the second star. Normally Mandarin Oriental Restaurants are really special, but over estimated and pricy.

During a solo dinner one evening, I was pleasantly surprised to find a vegan take on traditional Italian dishes, all while staying true to Shaolin philosophies. All of the food is raw, which is something completely new for me. First, I enjoyed a dish of raw nut cheeses, with pear jam and spices. The tartness of the pear was a great mix with the nutty cheese. Next I tried raw cream of elderflower, seasoned with elderflower caviar and coconut shavings. This was something incredibly new and surprisingly delicious for me.
My favorite dish was the raw pumpkin ravioli with sage, a really great vegan take on an Italian classic. The pumpkin was rich and creamy, and the pasta delicate and delicious.
The most surprising taste to me was that of the raw lemon cheesecake, which I immediately thought “vegan cheesecake?” But this not only has a sweet and tangy lemon flavor, but the creaminess of traditional dairy cheesecake. Wonderful and rich – a definite must try!
Despite not classifying themselves as a typical restaurant, the food and presentation of dishes was absolutely stunning. Even a non-vegan will enjoy many of the dishes, as the flavors of the ingredients are combined in such a way that they balance and harmonize with one another. They aren’t trying to replicate animal products in taste, instead really capturing the essence of the foods they use. I definitely recommend a meal at this culturally rich, and absolutely delicious restaurant.

The space is otherworldly- serene and beautiful- a mix of old high ceilings with modernity yet very warm. The food absolutely stunning- both visually where not everything is as it seems, and taste wise- an amazing experience. The Sommalier Alexa was so knowledgeable and so helpful- she stands out as the best surprise of the evening- guiding us from one spectacular bottle to another- bravo. The service overall attentive and caring. I am so happy at having tried this place - am in love with it! Great job to the team and I look forward to my next visit!

Recommended. You can trust me, first of all because I like good food, as most Italians. Secondly, because I'm not vegan and I love this place all the same. If you are vegan and are staying in Milan, do not miss this nice and cosy restaurant. Open at lunch time (they are about to open at dinner time too: call them to book a table on Saturdays), it offers healthy food with a gourmet twist. Forget boring salads and go straight here to enjoy amazingly tasty and delicious vegan/vegetarian recipes.

Sapori Solari is not a traditional restaurant. Our guests embark on a true "journey" into a "temple of taste" made of cold cuts and cheeses. We have no kitchen, we offer a tasting of typical italian products of superior quality, for this reason we define ourselves the "Extra-typical". Each dish will be accompanied by the passionate descriptions of Beppe and Alessandro. You will find yourselves immersed in the history of each product, from its origins to the table, and you will learn about seasoning methods with hundreds of years of history. You will taste not only our products but also the passion needed to make them so tasty. The tasting is enriched by a broad selection of wines, biological craft beers, pure fruit juices, hand-made desserts and unique liquors, surrounded by an environment which aims at making you feel at home. Be our guests! Sapori Solari, bistrò butchery
