Simple delicious Chinese-Sri Lankan place which services up Chinese basics with a very Sri Lankan twist.
Deservedly popular with locals and travellers alike.
We especially loved their Kang Kung (stir fried water spinach in sweet and sour garlic sauce) which was so delicious we re-ordered it twice. Highly recommended, and good value too!

May be today was not the best day of the cook. My wife had the Milano special seafood soup and was very satisfied. I had grilled sea fish. This was the absolutely wrong decision. The fish was dry and without any taste. But the beer and the juices were very good. Also the service was excellent.

Spent two nights here during our Mihintale pilgrimage.
Just walking distance to the historical sites Mihintale, Kaludiya Pokuna etc. Located off the A12, Anuradhapura-Trinco highway. About 15-20 mins drive to the ancient city, Anuradhapura.
Quite old property. Needs some renovations. Average food. Services need improvements. Helpful staff. Lacking the professionalism needed in a hotel.
However still it's value for the money you spent.
Ask for an AC room on upstairs for more privacy and less noises.

For dinner there isn't much options available here . For lunch there is a buffet Rs.700 pp. mainly local rice and curry , soup and desert. This is a clean place and quite spacious . There is a kids play area too.
Recommend the buffet for lunch and the mixed chopsy rice for dinner.

Foods served in buffet type on a lotus leaf and apparently they really activated the taste buds. Very delicious tank fish is served with some matching Sri Lankan curries with the high tone of spices. Could be more tastier if they can reduce the spices, especially the chillies a bit. The prices are very very reasonable and recommended to enjoy the countryside meal in a different way.

We have a open restaurant with swimming pool view .ceylan lodge restaurant located at near the city .we have 22 rooms .and very friendly staff .WE Have a buffet it is only 850.00 Rs one person
We came with high expectations given the great reviews and it was a total disappointment. The mushroom fritters contained no mushrooms and were cold and greasy. 45 minutes after us sitting there, and the mint Tea we had ordered wasn’t even served. When I complained...Morewe served mushroom fritters dish in 7 minutes. it was not cold.before we out their next order they went out from the restaurant.

Mango Mango is the first Authentic North & South Indian Restaurant In Anuradhapura. Mango Mango Opened its doors to food lovers on 4th April 2014.
If you are a searching for a good restaurant in A'pura, Mango mango is quite the place to be. Though the location of the restaurant is situated little bit away from the town, it was worth visiting there. They serve Indian cuisines mostly, yet the food is fine.

Very much a budget hotel with no frills in the rooms. However the staff were fantastic. They were friendly and there was great attention to detail. The food was absolutely brilliant. It was restricted to the traditional Sri Lankan fish or chicken curry, but I could have eaten it every night it was so good. The side dishes added variety and they remembered what my favourite side dish was and served it up the following night with other side dishes which were different from the night before. Look out for the freshly squeezed mango juice at breakfast. It doesn't get any fresher than being picked off the hotel's own mango tree! I loved this place. As a working pensioner it is not quite what I am used to, it would probably suit younger back packers and travellers better, but if you don't mind doing without the finer things for a couple of days I would highly recommend it.

We had the chance to eat here twice during our stay in Anuradhapura and liked it a lot. Tasty food (rice and curry, roti, noodles, roti kotu).
Don't hesitate to give it a try if you want to eat local, good quality and cheap food. Also great for take away.
