We went for an early dinner. They weren't busy yet so you'd think we'd get good service but, on the contrary, with little to do some of the younger female wait staff decided this would be a good time to gossip and fool around loudly by the grill room window. Nobody told them to cut it out so it went on and on until I think one of them went home and then it quieted down.
Our first impression was better, we were greeted by a smiling young man who when we told him this was our first visit showed us to a table and hoped we would be back. On our way out a charming young woman said she hoped we'd enjoyed our meal.
Our order was quickly taken and my request for decaf coffee responded to with a fresh pot.
This is an old rail station waiting room but nicely converted to a long restaurant with a bar and tables down one end and the grill and dining room with tables and booths up the other. We took a booth which was a mistake because 15 minutes into the meal a mother with two loud squirmy children sat right behind me. So with noisy wait staff on one side and jumping bumping children in the seat behind me this was not a peaceful situation. More alert staff would have located this family away from other guests. There were still many empty tables.
The Specials were in the mid twenty dollar range. My salmon was large, well cooked but didn't taste great, the rice was lumpy and some of the green beans still had stalks attached.
On the way out I asked the front desk if the food in the bar was the same and was told yes it was. But at least in the bar you wouldn't have noisy kids and waitresses gossiping around the grill.
So I'd suggest you eat in the bar. Overall I think somebody needs to take control.

Used to Live in the area so would go to the Bluemoon on a regular basis ever since it opened probably 20 years ago. I was visiting the area and meeting a friend so a good halfway point was the Bluemoon. The sandwich makers are extremely friendly, polite and very helpful. However execution was not that great. I ordered the pear and Gorgonzola salad and asked to switch out the cheese. She handed me the salad and I noticed there wasn’t any cheese and I said what about the cheese and she apologize. fortunately I was eating at the restaurant because when I sat down the pear was missing. I had a challah roll on the side, and it wasn’t as flavorful as I remember the entire braided loaf. My friend had the tofu and peanut butter chili that I didn’t taste but she thought was excellent. She opted to have some sliced bread that was excellent.

So much better than Dunkin Donuts, especially the Dunkin outlet in the gas station nearby. Freshly made donuts each day. Far better than Dunkin at the same price. Friendly service (but with lots of turnover in personnel). However, the coffee is pretty bad -- get a flavored coffee to hide the taste. This is where locals get their donuts.

It follows the Starbucks formula, but does so in a stylish and friendly way. Plenty of places to sit (high or low tables), even outside. Not too small, which sometimes is a problem with Starbucks. Pretty fast service, and friendly staff. This used to be a gas station, but you would never know it! Great location on the major corner in "downtown" Medfield. It became a popular spot almost from the moment it opened in late 2013. Parking is a bit tight during busy hours. A welcome addition to the town.

A warm neighborhood restaurant serving American cuisine with an Italian soul. Menu changes seasonally and offers nightly specials that reflect the best of what is fresh each day of the season.
Pulling up to this little gem hidden away in the midst of a residential neighborhood, I had low expectations. However- I was proven to be delightfully wrong.
From the warm welcome of the maitre de to the cheery helpful waitstaff, we were instantly made comfortable.
The wine suggested was the perfect compliment to our amazing dishes. I had the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin with mushroom risotto and it was heavenly!
Portion size was generous and my take home fed me two more times!
This place is a must!

Atmosphere:
Ambience and decor are unique, modern and unexpected coming from downtown Boston.
Service:
Nothing better than a server who knows the menu and can recommend dishes or wine pairings. This place is very busy but well staffed and managed, usually I avoid places on weekend nights for this reason, no need here--but you need a reservation so just do it.
Food: rarely do I find nearly every option something I want - it was a tough choice and that's a good thing. Got BLT salad sans bacon, adding fresh grilled shrimp (3 shrimp is a little tight but so delicious it's been forgiven), family got salmon, salad, burger...all fresh, cooked to perfection. This menu is incredible!
When I'm leaving Boston to eat at a restaurant in the burbs, you know it's good.

I can not say enough good things about this place. From Jennifer at the register to the Smoke Stack sandwich with chipotle mayo to the Praline Peach Pie...to the coffee bar - all great! We can not drive by without stopping while I stare at the fabulous prepared food choices my wife prowls for fresh fruit and veggies. Heres my choice for a fat lunch - Hungarian Mushroom soup and a grilled Smokestack sandwich with a coke or hot coffee. THEN, try the bakery goods or buy a whole pie and eat it in the car (I wish but my wife wouldn't let me so we took it home and I had to share it with my 3 grandsons..boo hoo) EVERY SINGLE person working there has a great attitude and friendly, helpful persona. I want them to open a store in MAINE but I will keep going back every time I go to Sherborn to see my daughter and son in law

Really superb food, although a bit pricey. We loved everything: tempura shrimp, soft shell crab, California rolls, NY rolls, Hawaii roll, al great.

I've been here twice now and have been very disappointed in the food quality and the service, especially considering the price point for a chicken sandwich or bolognese. The descriptions sound inviting but what's delivered leaves little to be desired as you attempt to stomach half the meal just because you're hungry. The server left dirty dishes from the appetizers on the table with out main courses and our drinks from the bar were left empty. I would not go back. Ever.

The place is an old standby. Usually easy to get a parking spot for pick up and they do have delivery. Excellent Greek salad, pizza is a bit underdone for us but better when they cook it longer.
