Best Italian food in the valley, Join Romano's Italian Bistro for a nice meal, check our daily special on facebook
Went on a weeknight at 7 pm with friends. Although Romano's isn't a typical restaurant building (located on end of building with other businesses), it is clean with some Italian decor.
The staff was friendly and through the course of the evening, tended to all of our needs. After our drink orders were taken, the drinks and a bread basket (with bread that lasted through the meal) was brought to our table. Our salads and main courses were served in a timely manner.
Between the 4 of us, we had 2 spaghettis, ravioli, and lasagna for our entrees. The portions were very generous. Thought the price was a great deal: $9.95 for each meal. More importantly, the food was very good. Being a calzone lover, I saw one delivered to another table that was the diameter of the plate and 2-3 inches high - it was the personal size but they have a large size!
Also got a couple of cannoli to take home which I thought was good but that my wife thought was very good.
Good meal for the price.

Grilled Cheese Mania has just celebrated it's 5 year anniversary. As many of our regulars know, Mania is my maiden name and our menu options are named after my family and friends. All of our foods including our drinks are homemade and prepared on site. I take pride in every order that goes out the window at GCM. The team I work with offers excellent customer service and they are a pleasure to spend my days with. Without them and you, our customers, I have no business at all. We use quality ingredients in all our recipes and always strive to be consistent and affordable. We don't cut corners on quality and do not strive to be cheap fast food. I do hope you will stop by our new restaurant and enjoy a meal in our new dining room, picnic table or take out. We want you to sit back, relax and enjoy yourself so we have added corn hole, hula hoops, jumbo Jenga, board games and even a huge map for you to pin your hometown on. We look forward to serving you! Blessings, Kathleen Mania-Casey
On a recent car trip from NC to Pennsylvania I calculated the half way point to our destination!and investigated the best places to eat in Harrison burg. Voila - up came grilled Cheese Mania. I was a little unsure when I saw that it was a food truck but in the spirit of adventure decided to give it a try. what a good decision. My husband and I both ordered the Casey, his with peppers and onions added. Honestly, probably one of the best roast beef sandwiches I've ever had! We elected to get the horseradish dipping sauce, which was the pice de resistance! We managed to hit it at a great time as there were no lines. Service was friendly and pleasant and all our queries were answered. Picnic tables had nice large umbrellas that kept us nicely shaded from the bright sun. I'm getting g hungry just thinking about that sandwich (grin)!

When looking for an exceptional Italian dining experience, never confuse this Ciro’s with those that include Flying Pizza in their names. There are plenty of that variety to be found, but only one Ciro’s Italian Eatery in the tiny town of Elkton. The decor sets the tone for a pleasant meal. They do feature a small bar offering tasty libations, if you desire. They also have several large dining areas, as well as a seasonal outdoor patio. They boast a menu with a tremendous variety of options. A full pasta dinner is never a wrong choice, but you’ll also enjoy a slice of pizza or a few ample appetizer selections. Salads, sides, and delectable desserts are not to be passed up. My family has dined at Ciro’s for years and we’ve always been pleased with the quality, quantity, and cost of our meals.

Very Very well done renovation outdoor and indoor seating with staff that tries hard and delivers. Only thing I miss prior to the renovation were the magnificent home made potato chips. TVs could be bigger but picture quality is the best I have sent for...MoreThank you so much for such a postive review of Base Camp! We are so glad you enjoyed our newest renovations and our wonderful staff. We can't wait to see you on the mountain again soon!

This casual dining venue pays homage to the outdoors and the spirit of adventure, making it a must-visit destination for hungry campers of all ages. Camp stove chili, chicken dumplings, campfire pouches, and skillets are just a few favorites served at our scenic mountain setting. Just make sure to save room for the s'mores!
We had eaten lunch here this past summer and really enjoyed it. I unfortunately could not say the same today. My husband had the shepphards pie. It was charred black on the top and edges. It was mostly just mashed potatoes with a very small amount of beef and vegetables. I had the chicken and dumplings. I had loved this over the summer. This time it was a runny soup with less than a 1/2 cup total of chicken and vegetables combined. Neither one came with a side. My 6yr old wound up with a $12 kids meal after you added his milk ($4) to the $9 chicken tenders and tater tots. He didn't even like the chicken. We asked for bread or rolls but they don't have any. The waitress was unconcerned about the food and flippantly offered to get me something else if I wasn't happy as she walked away. The onion soup was very good. $60 for 2 adults and a little kid, no alcohol, no dessert.

Located in an elegantly restored Victorian mansion, Joshua Wilton House is within walking distance of historic downtown Harrisonburg and the campus of James Madison University, offering guests quiet charm and gracious living in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. The Restaurant offers a unique and exquisite a la carte menu that changes with the seasons, along with an extensive selection of beers and an award-winning wine list. Featured are the food products of many small local farms and producers who supply our kitchen with high quality ingredients that simply cannot be found elsewhere. Chef's Tom French and Brian Bogan work together to create food that highlights Virginia's southern heritage while adding a French influence to the dish. During the warmer months, seating is available on the outdoor brick patio. Arrive early and enjoy a cocktail in our lounge before dinner.
This 1888 house, beautifully restored with original mantels, fireplaces, stained glass and parquet floors, is a surprising gem in downtown Harrisonburg. The five bedrooms are small but with lovlely period furniture, wi-fi and no TV! The piece de resistance is restaurant which has been serving its signature creme brulee dessert for 40 years. My husband had perfectly cooked duck breast and I had crispy pork belly with carrot puree, prosciutto and tiny apple balls marinated for days in cinnamon and star anise and then rolled in sugar and flamed to caramelize, In summer there's a small herb, flower and vegetable garden for fresh local produce. The night's salad and dessert chef was a saxophonist. Perhaps that accounted for the great classic jazz CD's playing in the cozy bar and the dining room and the harmonious progression from amuse bouche to final gormandise. If it's a James Madison University event weekend, reserve early.

Brother Steve and I were wet and hungry after a long, rainy and beautiful hike in Shenandoah National Park. Atmosphere was warm and welcoming, service was pleasant, but the particular items we ordered were not excellent. My brother's chicken burrito lacked any other ingredients besides chicken, although the menu had promised more. My chicken taquitos with guacamole salad were plain and dry, and the guacamole consisted of about one tablespoon (it was excellent, however, leaving me wanting more). Chips and salsa were very good, but refills were not offered until just as we were about to leave. Prices were very reasonable, and we will definitely give this place another try, but will order something different next time.
