The place was filled with nostalgia. It was our first time, but we felt really comfortable. The servers were personable and had many suggestions. The food was really good. We drive through the area with some frequency and we will surely return. It's so much...MoreHi Miss Mem, Thank you for all of your kind words about our atmosphere and tasty dishes. We're glad that you will be back in to dine with us again!

Truly a find. There dishes are so wonderful. This is more authentic than most found in the area, but it is TexMex, border style cuisine. Just plain delicious. Their fish tacos are the best for me in Birmingham. And consistent. Great salsa and cold beer.

Back in 2004, Kash along with some classmates had decided to plan a restaurant for their senior level marketing class at UAB. The project took the full course of the semester and after several grueling months of research they came up with an idea to start a seafood restaurant with a beach feel. The final business plan was to be presented in front of a group of investors. Following the presentation, the investors stated that as long as the business plan was followed, it would be successful. Hearing their response they decided to give it a shot. They figured they would not have a hard time getting started as they had some connections with a large seafood supplier in Bayou La Batre, Louisiana. The original concept had been to have a seafood market as well as a restaurant. So naturally they started off as just a seafood market and decided to grow into the restaurant side. Once they started the restaurant side however, business was kicking off well. The market side was eventually shut do
This cozy restaurant is an enjoyable place to be out with friends or family. Multiple TV's so you won't miss the game and a nice selection of adult beverages. Particularly liked their Bloody Mary's. Food was very good but with smallish portions, but the prices were very acceptable so you could order more than one item if your real hungry. Gumbo was excellent, They have several good shrimp dishes. Fried green tomatoes are wonderful and the cheese grits are good. If you like oysters but cant eat a full order you can order a half. Would definitely go again.

Bob Sykes has been in business for several generations now and is just as good as it was when it started. The pulled pork is excellent! They have such good fried okra that we sometimes go by just for it to go with a meal...MoreThank you for the great review and comment! We will continue to work hard everyday to provide you the best. Looking forward to serving you again very soon!

Let me first say that I love all types of Asian food and would eat vegetables and rice every day if I could. I'm not on this side of town much, but when I am I make sure to visit. The staff here makes me feel welcome and always remembers what I like to order. This is a must try if you are in McCalla.

The food is out of this world. Alligator and a potato with a drink for only $12 can't be beat. But much as I love the food, the business is run so unorganized it's embarrassing. You can put your empty tea glass on the outside of your table and a server with a pitcher of tea will just walk on by. You don't get a refill until your server comes around (if they ever do) the owners feel the need to make excuses for every bad review (all about customer service) on Facebook that I feel sorry for them. The place isn't very big, 10 tables at the most, but you can't get the customer service part right. You have to pay at separate registers depending on whether you're paying with cash or credit. If you order take out you are made to wait in a room that is about 8'x10' that also houses the restrooms. They will rudely tell you that you can't wait in the dining area when placing a to go order, even when it's not busy. It's really a shame, because the food and value is unreal.

My family and I love San Antonio! It's a very nice and well kept restaurant with friendly staff. Most of the time when you dine in, service is very speedy. The number 40 is in my opinion, best dish on the menu. I highly recommend San Antonio Grill!

Every time we visit the area we always go to Los Sombreros. The food and service is great. I love the steak and chicken fajitas. My wife likes any of the burrito options. We tried the queso with beans...this has added taste and we really liked it. The chips and salsa are great.....enough heat to enjoy and easy to kick up with some jalapeños. The beer was cold....another great meal here.

The pizza and calzones are all good but the prices are a little more than the typical chain. Sometimes there's a long wait but they serve a big area. Not bad at all for something local.

Full Moon has a long, delicious history of great Southern-style 'que made in the time-honored, traditional way — with quality meats cooked low and slow over a hickory wood-fired pit and spiced with a mouthwatering, award-winning bar-b-que sauce. We are famous for our ribs, pork sandwiches, Turkey sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, loaded bbq & chicken bakers and half moon cookies.
Wanted to have some Bar-B-Que...Thought to give this a shot...Pleasantly surprised!! Love the pictures of all the Alabama athletes!! Good large portions and good tasting food.
