Attending college in Marshall, my friends and I were spoiled by the quality of this restaurant. The food is great. The service is amazing. Vit has made it a Marshall institution. I always make sure to visit the Hunan Lion anytime I make it back to town.

This branch of cold stone is great. Clean place, friendly staff and lots of parking. Their combinations are great, and you can create your own dish and taste many of the wonderful flavours they have. I recommend the Peanut Butter Cup Perfection and the Loaded Peanut Butter Batter

From America's best ribs to steak, pasta, burgers and everything in between including a kid-friendly menu, we have something for everyone in your family.
We have eaten at The Hitching Post -- or the Post as the locals call it -- for many years. I tell people who are visiting Marshall that the Hitching Post although pretty casual, consistently has great tasting food. Last night my son and I went to grab a burger. I usually have the sirloin steak and shrimp, but was hungry for a burger. Had the mushroom/swiss bison burger. It was great! Had very tasty fries and ordered a side salad too. My son had a bacon cheese burger and fries and was very happy with his meal. Other members of my family are huge fans of the ribs, so the other reviews have mentioned that and I would agree. Had a glass of wine last night, too. Wine menu is not extensive, but a couple of the brands of wine they are serving have been good. I think they also have decent hard liquor and beer choices. Service is usually great.

We love this place. Coffee is great service is excellent. Staff get to know you and even recall what your favorite beverage is. Everyone is welcomed. It recently changed hands and we heard new menu are coming so expect price increase. Hoping it does not change to much.

On our way back from a Twins game we traveled along HW 19 looking for a little supper and some coffee. We found our new stop. We both said we'll make this a stop a long the way. We highly recommend the High Rise Caramel drink and the Chocolate Mint Mocha. We also ordered a Chicken Salad Bagel. Caribou Coffee and Einsteins are paired into one stop. Affordable, easy access, good food, friendly as well.

Had a great evening with friends celebrating a birthday. Eat here often. The margaritas always go down well and Love the chips and salsa before hand. I always have the 2 soft shell chicken taco with rice and pinto beans. Always consistently yummy. Others have the shrimp d'ablo or fajitas and say they are very good. The staff is so friendly and makes the experience seem very homey!! We love bringing friends from out of town because the good is fresh and homemade and doesn't seem corporate chain like. Check out Mariachi's when visiting Marshall!

The restaurant is nice and has upscale decor. The food didn't really stand out though. The server brought bread with an olive oil and balsamic dipping sauce. The balsamic was a cherry balsamic and was amazing - you can purchase it there. I got the pistachio crusted cod and it comes with a side (I got the mushroom risotto) and vegetables. The vegetables tasted like they were frozen and had been heated up in the microwave. The fish was okay but I couldn't really taste any pistachios - it was more just a breadcrumb coating. The mushroom risotto was really bland. I think the cherry balsamic was the best thing I had. The restaurant wasn't busy though on a Monday night at 7:30 pm so the server was great and refilled my water multiple times.

The hamburgers are excellent. Buffalo meat is available as well. Love the beer battered onion rings! They are lightly coated with batter and not at all greasy. The slightly sweet batter contrasts with the real sliced onion inside. Homemade sodas are also on the menu. Prices are reasonable. A large window allows you to see the beer makers checking on the process. Kind of fun.

My husband and I ate an early supper here while we were in town for business. My husband had chicken fried steak and I had taco salad...which was the special. We were very impressed with all of our food. The service was great! We definitely will eat here again!
