Grabiel is a family run business. Vast menu although we are well known by Maltese locals for our fresh fish and seafood specialities. Grabiel is separated in two parts; the main restaurant that is open for lunch and dinner, as well as the terrazza that is open everyday from 9am - 1030pm.
We came here as a family of 4 as my parents had been here a couple of years ago and loved the food, so we drove from Golden Sands to Marsacala (45min drive to the opposite end of the island) for this food... Food was great, portion sizes are huge! Very tasty! We had a rage pasta, 2 salmon salads (one teriyaki and one Caesar) and pork chops. The amount of flies and wasps this place has Seating outside is unreal, which I do not blame the restaurant for but it was off putting so I went inside to eat my meal when it came. What I do find terrible however and blame the restaurant for is the owner! From the second we sat down to the moment we left he had no idea about customer service whatsoever - very insulting, doesn't know that a "joke" can be taken too far!! He clearly didn't want to be there. I even witnessed him sitting himself down at another guests table and taking his cigarettes out of his shift and helping himself to one! Maybe he is friends with these people, maybe not but he was just outright rude. Called us "f-ing crazy" for travelling to his establishment, couldn't be bothered with the custom. Will not come back which is a shame as the food is amazing. Have spoken to other Maltese family about this also and they also agree his manner is all wrong, he doesn't understand the line between joking and insulting people.

The restaurant is run by the family and a group of people who are passionate about their work, the food and the service we provide. We specialize in a wide variety of daily fresh fish and shellfish….fresh oysters, oysters in batter, fresh scallops, fresh cannellocci, vangole, prawns, king prawns, octopus, calamari crudi, calamari fritti or grilled, white bait, salted cod, fresh mussels, sea bass carpaccio, prawn carpaccio…..And those of you who do not like fish we have the best cut of Angus beef, Irish beef and mouth watering T-Bone steaks…specialties are continuously changing weekly. The most important part of our business is you, our customers. We treat you the way we wish to be treated ourselves, with respect and honesty. Here at the Tal-Familja Restaurant, we look at things from a different perspective...yours. We have been reviewed in the 'Defiantly good guide' Book every year….number of reviews on newspapers, awarded 5 star by Mona (Maltese Food Critic) and much more.

Set in the sea-side town of Marsascala, The Oriental Garden has been renowned as one of the leading oriental restaurants in the South of Malta. To ensure the best holistic experience for our customers we give importance to every detail in the atmosphere and setting of the restaurant. The restaurant's decor is finely chosen to reflect our theme, the most famous detail being 2 small Bridges over the ponds of swimming fish which have become synonymous with the restaurant. The staff makes the experience even more pleasing giving attention to every detail, starting from the quality of the meat to the final presentation of the plate. The menu has a variety of favourite Chinese dishes prepared from our Chinese Chef using the best ingredients one could find.
Went there for dinner with friends. The place was full and had only 3 people serving. The service was incredibly slow. The staff did their best but they needed at least 2 more waiters. I do not expect such a slow service especially when considering the place is not particularly cheap. The food was good but it is unacceptable to have such a slow service.

We went to this restaurant, because it was one of the few marked on our map, so we figured it's a notable place in the area. Unfortunately, we found nothing notable about it.
The food was good, but nothing special and it left me a little bit hungry, while the price was higher than other restaurants in the area.
The service was mediocre too, and when they brought us the fish, they first told us it was something else, and when we made an objection, they told us it was a mistake and it was actually what we ordered. Not having such a big knowledge of different types of fish, it left us the feeling of not knowing what we're eating.
While the meal we had was good, better restaurants can be found next door, so I wouldn't recommend spending time at this one.

Nargile Lounge is a fusion restaurant with Arabic, Indian and Mediterranean dishes. The food is simple yet delicious. Service is 5 star and the ambiance is brilliant.
Great place to go if you are looking for some different flavors from Italian or Mediterranean cuisines. Food was tasty. We had baba ganoush, spicy chicken wings, stuffed naan and spiced beef cubes. Everything was great.
They did give us the wrong stuffed naan but it was still good so we were happy. Service was ok, but nothing special.

In operation for more than 25 years. Specialises in fish dishes using freshly caught Mediterranean fish. Situated opposite the old National Swimming Pool in Marsascala, Malta.
Three of us visited Zonqor Point Restaurant for lunch today. We were welcomed with a friendly smile and greeting and shown to our table. The order for drinks and the menu were brought very quickly while we deliberated over a wide choice of menu, catering for all tastes and diets. We ordered the three fresh fish special of the day and we were not disappointed. It came with roasted vegetables, chips and fresh salad and was delicious. This was fine dining served with care and we will be returning when we next visit Malta. The best meal to date and very reasonably priced. Thank you.

Stumbled across this whilst my sister and I were looking for somewhere to eat along the Promenade and we chose this simply because we heard the waiter speaking Italian....lovely friendly service by this family-run restaurant...my fresh pasta with mussels was yummy and my sister had cannelloni with ricotta and spinach...I tasted that and it was lovely - coupled with Prosecco in the sun, what more could you ask for. Came home and immediately told my partner that we have to go again!! Well done!

We were here three times during our stay in Marsaskala. Everything was ok until our third visit. It was a nightmare. Firstly waiter mistook our order three times. My friend was waiting for her meal 2 hours because he did not write it down. He even did not apologize, just was walking with an angry face and avoided our table. Then his friend (waitress) started to justify him and suggested that it must be our fault because he's perfect, she knows him and it's impossible that he could make such a mistake (sic!). One of my friends pointed out politely that the meat was too rubbery (which was true). The waitress got mad, said to my friend "if you're so brave tell the chief", took her hand and pulled her to the kitchen. We are still pretty shocked. Everyone can be nice when everything is fine, but when the problem occurs the staff shows its other face. And the waiters that can not admit the mistake and solve the problem are bad waiters. I have eaten in various restaurants in many parts of the world and have never encountered such a thing. Unacceptable behavior and lack of respect. Mistakes happen, but this was just lack of humilty. Completely out of line. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

We thought as we were walking past to eat lunch here again as we had not been here for a while. We had the Cod and the fish cake and spent a wonderful afternoon eating and drinking in the sun, the food is still amazing, thank you.
