When passing by Markaryd in Småland we wanted to have coffee and looked for some alternatives. We decided to go for Gräddhyllan despite it was outside and meant an extra 10 kilometers. We was not dissapointed! We found a lovely small coffee and shop situated nearby a lake and a typical countryside view when it is as it's best. Wonderful coffee and a large variety of cakes and sanwiches. We first choose one cake each but had to buy an extra just because it was so good and tasty! If you are in the sourroundings, go there, you won't regret it.

A bit difficult to find and entrence and parking behind the building. Did go her for middag lunch, room was a bit dark, many guest having there mid day lunch. Based on the number of guest it should be very good food and this was inded the case. Typical swedish food and 2 different meals to chose between and it was all very good and pleanty of it and by the staff taken care of that no plates were empty. Will in the area for sure have my lunch her.

Delicious Asian Cuisine. I dropby here for a lunch with friends and family and We choose the buffet. I love the way they cooked the beef. Its lean and tender, sauteed with mix veggies. They have different cookings which is a mix of thai and chinese. They were all good. We will be surely come back again on my next visit to Sweden.

Tog möjligheten att äta en lunch med våra två vuxna barn med sambo, dagens lunch var ”långkok” av högrev, fanns såklart en del fett men smakerna var goda.

Standard swedish diner...
Pretty much your basic standard roadside diner. Rasta is a chain of roadside diners across the country mainly located along the different motorways/routes in Sweden. Nothing really bad.. nothing really good.. Plus for serving up breakfast buffet at many locations... Minus for not seeming to coordinate the buffetcontent as it can vary pretty much between locations. The one in Markaryd being in the lower end regarding this. No boiled egg and no baked beans at my visit for example... There seemed to be plenty of staff at duty and I was the only guest at the time. Still none of the staff could be bothered with for example checking and refilling the spreads...

På väg hem från göteborg besökte vi markaryd bowlinghall. Där åt vi en winersnitchel med stekt potatis och bearnärsås,grönsaker. Detta var riktigt gott,bland de bästa winersnitchel som jag ätit. Snabb och vänlig service av personalen. Kaffe och en god cheescace efter middagen. Toppen
