Mariupol (Ukrainian: Маріу́поль [mɑrʲiˈupɔlʲ], also Ukrainian: Маріюпіль, translit. Mariiupil [mɑrʲiˈjupilʲ]; Russian: Мариу́поль [mərʲɪˈupəlʲ]; Greek: Μαριούπολη, translit. Marioupoli) is a city of regional significance in south eastern Ukraine, situated on the north coast of the Sea of Azov at the mouth of the Kalmius river, in the Pryazovia region. It is the tenth-largest city in Ukraine, and the second largest in the Donetsk Oblast with a population of 449,498 (2017 est.). The city is largely and traditionally Russophone, while ethnically the population is divided about evenly between Russians and Ukrainians. Mariupol was founded on the site of a former Cossack encampment named Kalmius and granted city rights in 1778. It has been a centre for the grain trade, metallurgy, and heavy engineering, including the Illich Steel & Iron Works and Azovstal. Mariupol has played a key role in the industrialization of Ukraine.

Name of the place is "Cafe SAD" meaning Garden, in English. Unlike many other places in Mariupol, here you are realy meant to enjoy your meal. Stylish interriors, huge windows, wooden decor, lots of greenery, and comfortable chairs make you realy feel in a quiet garden. Relaxing jazz and jazz style music is carrying you away from the industrial city...
As soon as you step in, the service starts. We were there in early spring, whish fas quite frosty. They offered us help with our coats at once, and as soon as we took a table of our choice, they provided us with menues (in english) and lit a nice candle on our table (another pleasant surprise). We were not pushed to order, but I could notice they were following us at distance ready to come up at any moment we were ready.
The food was not served too soon. Bearing in mind we ordered barbeque and salads, this was a sign of quality - it took exactly the time which bbq has to take to be ready. We could follow the bbq process, as long as the fire place is situated right in the hall of the restaurant. It is hardly a piece of decor, but surprisingly, no any scent of fire or smoke in the hall, just warmness of the fire which we loved that cold day.
The food and presentation were fine. Served on big white tables it made us want to taste it as soon as we saw our meals.
Service is attentive and poliet. Though only one guy Mr Roman speaks english, not too fluent, but good enough to undesrtand what exactly you need.
We noticed couple of other foreign guests (they call you "guest" there, not a "client") in the cafe when we were there, so seems we were not the only europeans in SAD (Garden).
In one word, the place is definitely remarkable. Our hosts in Mariupol took us to a number other local restaraunts and cafes, but SAD proved the only one which made us get on the internet and bring this review to Tripadvisor. Something worth mentioning, indeed.

Location - a little difficult to find when you're unfamiliar with the city, but a good menu and value for money. Their summer Terrace is a nice dining experience - quiet location, nice atmosphere, good décor. Visited twice. First time, service was a bit less than average. Second visit, service was very good.

Had some wonderful eclaires and coffee during a random visit to this cafe. Very attentive service and selection of various treats combined with fresh and classy interior made our experience very fulfilling.
Mariupol is not your usual touristic spot, however providing high quality leisure spots is crucial for tourist development and Hleb Du Solei is definitely such a spot!

The restuarant is located in the heart of Primorsky Park of Mariupol, wich is definetely an advantage, if you go with kids or a date, as the place itself is chilling out and relaxing. It's a nice place to go with friends, dates or companies, but I'd say too expensive. There're cheaper and (though it's subjective) nicer alternatives in the surruondings.

Good food, decent prices, I especially recommend salads and meat. Very close to the seaside. At the same time, be ready to wait for your order, sometimes it takes a while for them to cook.

Cosy and quiet, good coffee and tasty pies, coffee drinks (you must Golden Ducat and ask for Borgia, even if it's not in the menu)

Nice place with a very creative attitude towards serving a beer (you'll see :). Pretty much all the foreighners from The US/Western Europe are hanging out there, it's a bit more expensive than other pubs, but for The EU citizen or for an American/Canadian, it's still cheap (so as everything in town).

The first cafe of "third" wave in Mariupol. The largest coffee card, great cuisine, tasty desserts, friendly staff. You are always welcome here. Great place for rest and business meetings.
Clean and spacious, great waiters & waitresses. Coffee is too light roast and acidic for espresso & cappuccino (though staff make perfect cappuccino foam). Good place for work meetings. Owner should spring for better coffee.
