We came here while staying a few nights in the attached cabinas, but only ate dinner once. It’s a nice space upstairs, cool breeze passes through and they have some couches around a big TV. The food was basic and flavorful. I had the casada with chicken, and it had a nice salad on the plate. Very reasonable prices this far south - it is literally the last stop on the Caribbean side before Panama. The big problem with this place is that the owners are not around so the waiters get to choose the music. It was quite loud, which we wouldn’t have minded a bit if it had been appropriate for the place, like Caribbean or steel drum or something similar. Instead it was Spanish RAP. very repetitive and tiring. If it hadn’t been for that we’d have eaten here again.

Bread and Chocolate is a small, all natural, bakery and cafe on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. We offer a variety of freshly baked goods, hand-made chocolate truffles, and cakes, as well as breakfast and lunch.
The homemade bagels with creamed egg are to die for. I loved the food here and the great atmosphere. The staff are attentive and the prices are ok.

International Cusine Restaurant. Jungle outside private tables for dinner or chill out. Romantic atmosphere, good music. Focus on the good quolity of the products and the service.
Small, personable restaurant with delicious food! Romantic setting with just a few tables and personalized, friendly service. Excellent food prepared by a gourmet chef in full view of all the tables. We ate there for dinner twice and it was excellent both times!

We drove down the coast to this little town. A true Caribbean hot spot on a Saturday where everyone spills onto the beach, and in town beach area.
We had 'make your own' juice smoothies in this little soda. We laughed as they were out of bananas...in this country really (Del Monte/Ffyes/Chiquita Fruits please take note haha)
I had a Blackberry (span: Mora) and Mango flavoured one.
Nice easy location and nice people.
The food looked good, but we didn't partake on this occasion.

This restaurant is located 80m down a gravel alley almost immediately next to Le Chameleon hotel.
Don’t be put off by its location. The food is really good, and the chef is supported by a family team who strive to make the whole dining experience here a memorable one. Very good choice on the menu, and this is supplemented by several specials which the staff are very happy to explain.
The service is relaxed yet efficient.
The price is towards the high side, but the quality is very good.
We ate there twice during our 3 day stay in the area.

I went to Pura Gula for dinner with some friends. The food and service were good and price is reasonable. They call themselves as "slowfood" and, yes, the food took about 35 min to be served. We had fish with potatoes, veggies and salad that were delicious! Remember bringing cash because they don't accept credit cards.

Truly a unique format. Excellent food presented the old fashion way. Simple but wonderful. Having lived in Costa Rica for 11 years, I have visited many beach eateries. This up there with the best. You won’t leave hungry or disappointed.

Best cup of coffee, tea, lemonade ginger, orange juice all from scratch. Ama Rosa- AMAZING!! Banana bread French toast with Maple Syrup, omelettes, best ever bacon, avocado, beets, garlic, fruit, yogurt, eggs and potatoes!!! Atmosphere - the best. I can’t sum it all in 100 words. See the pictures visit the place and see for yourself. Say hi to Roger for me.

I had a lunch planned by a company for my girlfriends birthday here. The table they gave us was upstairs which was nice, but the service was terrible and the food was mediocre. I would go somewhere else to have good food. Sodas Ricisimo in Puerto Viejo was much better.
