El Marino goes way back in Manta, actually some decades. I love the place, great seafood at affordable prices. Real local "beach" cuisine, not a fancy gourmet restaurant, if you are in for the try. I don't rate it with five only because the place...Morethanks for choosing us, we are more than glad to have people like you as a client

Food was good both nights that we visited. The menu is huge, many choices but prepare a second and even a third choice as everything is not necessarly available every night. Wednesday nigh was great, very quiet and good service. Saturday way way too crowded and we had to wait for ever for every little thing.

Parrillada / Grill restaurante.
My wife and I ventured here in order to try something new as opposed to our Manta favorites. Our dinner was good but not spectacular. I would recommend Palmeiras if you are in Manta for an extended period and would like some variety. However, if you are here for a brief stay, there are better options. Palmeiras probably deserves its TripAdvisor ranking just below Manta's top restaurants.
The toasted bread was a nice starter and the pesto and aji that were served along with it were both very good. I ordered the pork ribs and they were very flavorful. I also enjoyed the accompanying shredded cabbage, carrot and cucumber salad. The yucca fries were fresh and perfectly fried.
My wife's grilled shrimp (along with the same salad and fries) were not nearly as good. In an area were shrimp are very plentiful, these were relatively small and appeared more sautéed than grilled.
The house red wine was very fruity with a slight taste of soap and was undrinkable. Service was very attentive and friendly.
For a basic meal it was good but a little pricey for the simple preparation. The atmosphere was nice with all the tables being outside. There are two sides to the restaurant. To the left of the entrance is a brightly lit and somewhat sterile Seating area while to the right there is a more dimly lit and relaxing garden area. I have heard some people complain about the road noise but the adjacent road is currently closed for construction and the environment was very relaxing on our visit.

This is old reliable in food and pricing. You can expect a fantastic meal here at reasonable prices and they never let us down. Have been here several times and always consistent. English menus available to help in selection. There is a large selection from Pizza to seafood to pasta to steaks. Staff are always friendly and fast with delivering food to table so kitchen does a good job as well.
Old reliable did it again.

I now live in Manta part time and would like to review some restaurants here. Las Velas is the best restaurant on the busiest beach here in Manta. I eat there often. The owner is Diana Felipe, cell 5938-302-1932, and the restaurant phone is 5935-262-9396. The chef is Ariel Vazquez, Chef Internacional. I would love to write it up, if you will accept it.
Great place to hang out after swimming at the beach and to eat some local fish. Not very expensive around 40 to 45 for 4 people and one kid. Great place for kids and adults alike. Well recommended

We ordered pizzas for Los 3 Platos one night when I had had too much sun to venture out. We chose because TA reviews mentioned they also did takeaways. We were not disappointed, they came within 30 mins as promise. The pizzas were very very good, no comparison with standard take away operators, these were restaurant quality, some of threat pizza I have eaten in years. I would definitely go to the restaurant next time I am in Manta. Of course they are more pricey than a dominoes, but the quality makes it worth very extra penny.

Several locations around Manta and they are very consistent and convenient. All of the locations are clean and efficient. They specialize in sweets including cakes, tortes and mousses but also have good, quick, fresh sandwiches, empanadas and pasteles.
A great place for a quick meal in Manta.

Yesterday had lunch at this wonderful restaurant. Service was amazing. The menu is very diverse allowing almost anyone multiple choices.Three of us were there and we ordered between us..Beef carpacio, vegetarian crepes, seafood crepes and caesar salad and chicken soup. All were exceptionally good..Want steak, Langostino's or chocken dishes..all there..even pasta ..highly recommend and will definitely go back again.

Went twice in the last days. Very good attention, nice waiter, you can choose from a variety of ceviches, fish ceviche is very good but I recommend to try the ceviche de concha, if you you are up to eat the special seafood from Ecuador ! It is very good ! If not , go for the fish or shrimp ceviche and don’t miss the shrimp “chicharrón “!
Friendly not fancy place at very good price. Go for it!

Since discovering the Green House Coffee Shop, we have been here at least 6 times. The food is great and is extremely reasonable in price. It is just up the street from Supermaxi.
Their caramel machiatto and empanadas are amazing. We have also tried the Caramel cake, the 'wet' chocolate cake, cinnamon roll, and the meatball sub.
Owner speaks English and is very nice. The staff is very attentive and nice.
They serve breakfast, which also appears to be very reasonably priced. This is a great place to relax and sip coffee. It is also a nice lunch spot.
