It looks it is a rule to make the client wait, as I was at the bar and 3 people ordered by my side, but the waiter did not take my order because I arrived last.... ridiculous!! But anyway the place deserves a visit. Food is incredible.

Very imaginative tapas with local ingredients, good spanish wines, tiny restaurantt
We wandered around Mahon on a cloudy afternoon for a couple of hours before we fell upon Placa Bastió. Settled down for a beer in a corner bar and noticed that there seemed to be a few restaurants and bars clustered in this unassuming square.
Did a little research and found that we had hit upon a culinary mecca. After much debate we opted for Santa Rita. The reports were positive and described it as having a fusion tapas menu.
Talked to the owner and arranged for an early table and to be honest we were lucky to nab that.
This was perhaps the best variety of tapas we have ever tasted and it was exquisitely prepared and presented. The restaurant was soon full and the weather had improved immensely so it's position in a vibrant square made the whole dining experience stunning.
The service was exceptional and the cost impressive. Thank you Santa Rita.
Highly recommended.

I give this 5 stars, not the same 5 stars that I have given for some of my fine dining restaurants.
This is a completely different category but still deserves 5 stars for a good local Tapas Bar, so hopefully you understand my interpretation.
If you are in Mahon it is a great find and you can enjoy some fantastic Local Tapas, it is typical Spanish and all the locals use it. So much so that when all the tourists go home this place is still heaving on a Friday and Saturday evening.
Really great social gathering and eating. Good friendly and efficient service from the staff. Give it a go.

My husband and I went here 4 nights in a row. We shared a range of dishes and would not fault any of them. Such delicious food. Our favourites were the prawn skewers, artichokes, the cod and Russian salad. Most importantly you need to leave room for the best carrot cake we had ever eaten for dessert.
No where else we ate came close to this standard and it was such a bargain compared to the tourist traps. Highly recommend!!! But suggest you book.

A lovely resturant with delicious food and great service. We started with the foccacia and vitello tonnato, followed by pizza (super thin and crispy crust) and pasta. Everything was amazing! The best way to do it is to order some different dishes and share as they're brought to the table (they have a small kitchen, so it's difficult to have dishes for everyone at the table ready at the same time). I highly recommend this restaurant, and I will definitely go back if I ever return to Menorca!

It’s always pleasing to come back to a place of which one has fond memories, and find it to be at least as good, if not improved. Therefore it was most encouraging to find my dinner at El Muelle was every bit as delicious as my memory of a meal enjoyed in the preceding year.
I was especially taken with the superb steak cookery here, and once again my generous fillet steak was cooked exactly to preference, accompanied neatly by perfectly cooked tiny vegetables and sautéed potatoes. The house red was an unctuous Ribera del Duero which particularly pleased me as I had asked for that last year, only to be denied. So that’s a plus point!
El Muelle may not occupy the very best spot on Mahon’s waterfront but I must say everything else is spot on, with friendly service, fair prices and excellent food which runs from the aforementioned steak, which has something of a South American twist, to fresh local fish and meat and some tempting desserts.

We were looking for an ice cream shop and Ambrosia came out very recommended, unfortunately it might have been good once but not anymore. Staff reception towards you was a bit dull and the quality of the ice cream different flavors we tried left a bit hanging. Taste and consistency are quite average and some of the flavors had ice within the scoop. At least for the ice creams i really don't recommend this place.
