JT Walker's Restaurant & Sports Bar is located in downtown Mahomet, IL on the corner of Main and Lincoln. JT's is located in one of the oldest buildings in Mahomet, dating back to the early 1900s. We have been a fixture in the community for the past decade. We offer two levels with two different atmospheres. The main level is our restaurant, which has a casual feel with a fire place and a variety of seating. Our upstairs is our sports bar, with billiards and Golden Tee along with 10 High-Definition Televisions. We also have a rooftop patio that is open when the weather permits, and the Barrel Room for private events and parties. Our Brewery is located across the street and makes small batch craft beer in a variety of styles. We have an extensive menu with a variety of options from sandwiches to pasta to salads to entrees. We also serve brunch on Sundays from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
I tried to like this place after buying a $30+ growler (which is a nice one). The beer is okay, but their hours at the brewery are very limited and unreliable. Last night I went to fill my growler at 845p. They're open until 10p, it says so on the front door, yet it was locked. The bartender was in there, and a patron too, but they didn't care that I pulled on the locked door. So I called, thinking they may just open and take my $20 growler fill as business (I could hear the phone ringing from outside, so I'm sure the bartender could). Ignored it entirely.
I walked across to the restaurant and the bartender says "They close early a lot, not many people go there." When your hours are only 3 days a week and don't even open for that time, my opinion is that it is a bad business model. BTW, this is the 3rd time I've tried to get a fill during prime time and couldn't. I'll stick with the good breweries over in Champaign that make me feel like a customer.

Grill And Chill
A "local" recommended this DQ, as we were looking for a place, off of I-74, to rest a few minutes & get our usual favorite DQ treat. The proprietors were blessed with a good business, this evening. We ordered 2 different BLIZZARDS, & "Ya Ain't Gonna Believe what happened." We went to our vehicle, & continued our journey. When we got into eating our Blizzards, there was VERY LITTLE in them. They both were soft serve & very little flavoring, or items in them. DQ Corp needs to talk to these folks. 1st time we've had someone pull this "rip off."

Incredible food and incredible people! A "must have" when in Mahomet IL. My family have been enjoying Filippo's for many years now and it is the best. The family owned business, and quality of food make it our top choice for dine in, carry out or delivery in Mahomet. All thumbs up!

Good food, fair price, exceptional service ! Went for lunch today for grandson's birthday. Staff heard him say it was his birthday in conversation. They went into action and gave him a special mini birthday celebration. Thanks you guys. It really made him feel great. We appreciate the gesture :).

Nothing special. Love whole catfish, although a nice large fish, not really seasoned or memorable. Why are so many restaurants buying those frozen "french fries" that are actually mashed potatoes in the shape of french fries? Awful!
Saw "stuffed tomatoes" delivered to a table, looked good.

Typical bar food. Burgers have a good flavor but greasy. Service is decent. A good value for the price.

Best Chinese Food
I'm a regular. Love the General Tso's, Sweet and Sour Everything, Broccoli Beef, Every Fried Rice and the Crab Rangoon. Really, I've never had anything I didn't like. Gina is the best. She knows all the customers, what they like, what their kids are doing, you name it. If they delivered, I'd be in heaven. Excellent restaurant!

Have ate at this restaurant several times in the last 2 years & have finally realized why the experience is not as good as the other El Toro restaurants in Central llinois. The food is always good & always fast, just like the other El Toro's,but the staff never seems happy to see you.
At the other locations, without a doubt, you are greeted with a big, friendly smile and a manner which seems to convey that you are instantly welcome.Come in,enjoy yourselves, eat drink & be merry. We are happy to see you. At the Mahomet location, there is a "gruffness" and a" hurry up" attitude,so much of the time. And if there is a soccer game on the TV in the corner of the room, forget about being served well. When you are served,it appears they are doing you a "favor."
As stated earlier, the food is always good & very quick. But in the 15-20 times I have eaten there, the lack of hospitality is glaring. There are far too many Mexican restaurants in Central Illinois to have to put up with one that makes you feel bad when you visit. The people who own the El Toro restaurants in Central Illinois need to turn off the TV there & have a chat with the help.Because the other El Toro's are so delightful to eat at,we always have hopes that this one will get better.

Showed up with 25 of my close friends on a coach bus. Not once but twice. The staff and servers were quick to accommodate us and provide us with excellent service. The meals were very good. The service was excellent. Thank you for accommodating us!!! Stop in, have a good meal and say hi for us. You will not be disappointed!
