Magnolia's Bake Shop

Reviewed By Jennifer L - Houston, Texas

I've been coming to this bake shop for 45 years! My grandma always had baked goods from the Magnolia Bake Shop when we would visit her. I was recently in town for a funeral and wanted my kids to experience some of the same traditions that I did as a child. We went in and ordered all my favorite items and it was like going back in time. Everything was great and tasted just like they always did.

The Flying Burger

One of the best hamburgers I've ever eaten and seasoned well too. I also enjoy the salmon salad which is perfectly grilled. There is nothing I hate more that overcooked fish. They also have spicy boiled shrimp with corn on the cob and a potato. Seafood is not easily available in Magnolia so this is a tasty dish that I order often.

This is great Southern Arkansas Treasure! You must stop in and try the sliced pork sandwich with baked beans. Their chicken strips are hand-battered and amazing! The buys are made fresh and so good. The bbq sandwiches are so tasty, too. If you are in the area, this is a must stop and see place!!

I live in Houston now but I've been coming to this restaurant since I was a little girl! I recently had a loved one pass away and was looking for a way to prepay for food and have someone in town pick it up for me. Marlar's was very helpful and accommodating. I can't wait until I can get back to Magnolia and eat their delicious homemade food and lies!

We were in town from Houston for a funeral and Antigua's was recommended by family members. Coming from Texas, we are BIG fans of Tex-Mex food and boy were we surprised at how good this food was! My husband said his enchiladas were the best he's ever had! My son got that shredded chicken enchiladas and loved them!! The service was also some of the best we've ever had!! We can't wait to go back!

I love Cancun. I have lived in magnolia for almost a year and have visited this restaurant a countless number of times. The cheese dip is fantastic as well as the salsa. I've had so many different things off the menu and they've all been excellent. The service is always good. The wait staff is always attentive and friendly. By far my favorite restaurant in Magnolia. Always a very clean environment. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone coming through Magnolia and wanting a good place to eat.

There aren't a lot of restaurants to try here in magnolia. If you want sort of a "home cooked" meal you may want to try this. But call ahead first and see what's available for that day.

Chick-a-dilly is just the best fried chicken you're going to get in magnolia. The service leaves something to be desired at times but the food is always good so it's worth it.
