Wow, what a discovery. We are regular visitors to Ludlow and have been here twice recently. Excellent food, reasonable prices. Lovely staff. Small room, probably max 25 covers but will return time and time again.

The Unicorn Inn is a family run pub which resides in a beautiful riverside location. The pub itself is a grade two listed building with many old features that add to its unique character. From the wooden beams to the uneven floor, from the welcoming and cosy atmosphere to the always helpful and friendly staff. We offer a high quality, freshly cooked, homemade menu with locally sourced ingredients and a selection of award winning local ales. We have three dining areas to choose from that each have their own charm. We also have an outside Seating and garden area overlooking the river for those lovely summer days and evenings, and for the winter we have the one thing everybody enjoys two roaring fires. If you have any questions then please email and we will be happy to help.
The Unicorn Inn is a very special place. We visited last Saturdayon a very snowy cold March evening and from walking thro the door with our dog Arthur until leaving, we were made to feel so welcome and special by the lovely, enthusiastic staff. There was a lovely log fire burning and the whole place is full of such character with lovely rustic furniture and sloping floors and ceiling.
The food was delicious and everything tasted very fresh and was beautifully presented. Even Arthur was presented with some dog biscuits and a blanket to lay on!

Modern British and continental Restaurant, Wine Bar and Coffee house.
Ran into this place purely by chance, as I took a short cut from the car park.
Had a fantastic tapas meal and I'd particularly recommend the paella.
Friendly service, reasonable price too. Wines were ok but a touch pricey.
Big thumbs up to the staff but especially the chef. I will be returning.

We like eating in pub-restaurants which offer a good traditional menu, but with a degree of flair and a certain difference in style, without becoming flamboyant or over-complex and fussy. It’s the type of place where, for instance, vinegar - for the excellent chips- is not on the table, but a mere mention gets it to you immediately, with a smile. No sniffyness.
Generous portions are also appreciated but again, not volume replacing quality. Prices are reasonable and are in line with your average pub-restaurant.
Ambience and comfort are well catered for at the Queens, not a big dining area but large enough to have tables spaced at comfortable distances. Sourcing of ingredients is shown, local suppliers used and not some anonymous nationwide wholesale distributor.
Waitresses, both at the bar and in the restaurant, are pleasant and cheerful and seemed to know what they are doing.
Real ales, a popular bar, a small lounging area with sofas.
Already we have returned, the second visit as pleasant as the first, and will now join our small list of regular dining spots
.
We needed to book at weekend.

Daytime, modern British café, interesting lunches, cakes and hot drinks, everything made on site apart from bread and jam.
This has always been a good cafe next to the now defunct and much missed Mr Underhills.
But now it has been taken over my CSons, well established in Shrewsbury. I can only think this will greatly enhance it and it will rapidly be the place to go.
Great views of the weir, good food, great service

This little place properly out punches it’s weight. The food is really really good and very french, including the wine list. It has changed slightly but much much for the better. Less choice on the menu but all classics and extremely well executed. The wine is a carefully chosen selection of regional varieties at very reasonable prices. I had a lovely bottle of Fronsac Bordeaux for £26. Bargain by restaurant standards. Well worth a visit.

Cuisine BRITISH Local Produce. Handmade Pizzas. Pasta Dishes. Homemade Soups. Great Breakfasts & Bagels. Waitress service.
The only place to go in Ludlow for breakfast Brilliant menu, fast service and delicious food This does get busy so it’s not always easy to find a table, but that’s because it’s so good

The Fish House is a high quality, traditional fishmongers - which serves an array of seafood and shellfish at lunch, complimented by a restaurant service on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. We have a small yet perfectly formed Seating area within the shop (and summertime Seating outside). The Fish House is fully licensed with wines, ales and spirits on offer, as well as soft drinks. Lunch is served between 12:00pm and 3:00pm. Evening dining is 6:00pm until 9:30pm approx on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. We are open as standard, Wednesday to Saturday - with additional days on occasion - currently Tuesdays, for lunch and fish counter, in the build-up towards Christmas.
We have long been a customer of their excellent fresh fish so thought we should try their evening restaurant menu. What a lovely experience!! With such limited space it was amazing that they could provide such excellent food and service as well as creating a great ambience. Book early as this is going to become very busy, we will certainly be back.

We ate at this restaurant as part of a DBB package. We had the nine course taster menu along with wine flight and a couple of champagne cocktails to start. The food was good and excellently presented, however, the taste combinations didn't always quite work for us. The wine flight was good although the measures were inconsistent and depended on who was pouring it. The restaurant is certainly worth trying!

Whilst staying on a local caravan site I took the bus into Ludlow. After walking around the mkt and shops stooped off here for a light lunch .What a lovey find .I had the ragu and a small glass of wine and they couldent have been more attentive.I don't think the take booking you just have to be lucky to get a fable as its only a small place .Well worth the wait.
