Harken back to the days when you drove on a state highway and stumbled upon a small town restaurant with unexpectedly spectacular food prepared with care and served by folks who treat you like you have been invited to dine in their home. The bartender not only engages in the lively art of conversation but buys a drink for gosh sakes!
Fried chicken to drive for and apple pie a la mode that feels it came direct from Aunt Bea's kitchen. That is not my Aunt by the way, she was a character in the Andy Griffith Show. I think she in fact has passed away but this place proves those sort of values haven't died and still persist.
Simply, they just care.....don't pass it up

Excellent for ice cream or food. The whole town can be see at Dairy Queen on any hot day. With the High School just down the street all the students keep this place hoping.

We've eaten numerous times here and have never had a negative experience! Margaritas are very good. Menu is huge as are the portions. Food is nicely seasoned and the plate presentation has always been lovely. Plenty to eat and the waitstaff is always attentive...even when it's busy...and Mi Ranchito does get busy. We'll definitely be returning.

Had a lovely breakfast. Chef/owner, Charlene Hall, served up some tasty choices. I especially loved the home-made tomato juice (flavoured with dill, lemon, garlic and jalapeno) and the chocolate espresso muffin top.
The cozy restaurant is furnished with curtains, family photos, knick-knacks, and furniture from home.
Decaf is not available.

My wife and I have at least one Loven Oven pizza a month. My favorite is a thin crust customized with fresh sliced tomatoes, garlic, onions, jalapeño peppers, sausage and cheese. Occasionally we'll meet a group of 10-15 friends for a BYOB pizza party in their dining room. Always delicious pizza and great service.

I don't usually write reviews, but after trying their deep dish I really thought it was appropriate to get on here and write my first. I've had deep dish in Chicago before, but I actually like their's better and they're right in my home town. Really happy with what I ordered, the problem with many deep dishes I've had is the bottom sags and can't hold up the pizza but this deep dish didn't have that problem, and it had so much cheese. One piece was enough to fill me up and I had some to take to work the next day. Really worth a try, it took 45 minutes but if you order before you start some errands it's ready pretty quick. Glad I tried it.

Established in 1984. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner 7 days a week. Casual family restaurant, and the Epitome of Delicious.
While having my truck serviced, I asked the technician where I could go for a good breakfast and he suggested, George’s Family Restaurant. He also said that it was just a short walk away! George’s is located across the street from Lowell Senior High School on 1910 E. Commercial Street (IN State Rt. 2) in Lowell, IN. We arrived and sat ourselves into a booth. The restaurant was quite busy. This is an American style restaurant that has a broad menu. Their menu has two whole pages just for breakfast. We started with a bottomless pot of Coffee for $3.40. Then we ordered the Pork Chop & Eggs, which came with two Eggs, Home Fries or Hash Brown Potatoes, Toast or Pancakes for $9.99, and George’s Farmers Breakfast, which comes with two Eggs any style, two pieces of Bacon, two Sausage Links, two pieces of Ham, choice of Potatoes, and two pieces of Toast or Pancakes for $9.29. My only complaint is that the Pancakes were over down! Aside from that, everything else was cooked to perfection and the servings were large. If you leave there feeling hungry, you only have yourself to blame.

My mouth is watering just thinking about the scrumptious Italian beef sandwich. The tastiest beef filled sandwich I've ever put in my mouth. Tons of beef, seasoned perfectly, delisious cheesiness, garlic flavored bun make up this fantastic treat. It comes with a small bag of chips and a perfect pickle. If you ever get to the Lowell area this is a must try. You're going to love it!

They say they're the inventor of the thin crust pizza, but their crust was very hard on the edges but soggy in the middle and tasted like the oven needed to be cleaned. Good wings though, maybe that should be their slogan.
