Of all the cafes we had the choice of, we decided on this one. What a mistake!
We waited for ages before giving our order.
Our waiter ‘Josip’ seemed to be really confused and kept asking us again and again our order.
Perhaps if he had written it down!!
At least another 10 minutes must have passed before he came back asking yet again what we wanted!!!
Finally he came out with the drinks, but missing the glass of water that my husband had ordered with his cortado.
We had ordered white coffee with cream. What cream, hardly any, they must have been standing as the little that had been used had melted and the coffee was warm not hot. We tried to get the attention of any waiter/s, but by now we were really fed up and basically just ended up drinking it.
I did bring it to the attention inside the café, but the waitress just rolled her eyes, flicked her hand and dismissed it! (She was obviously thinking we were just out to have a free coffee)
I would never return to this café. Our friends had been to this square before, but choose this café instead of the one they had been to before.
Bearing in mind this was mid November, it was hardly packed, which made this long wait even worse. 70,000 for poor beverages
Very disappointed.

We were on our summer vacation in Lovran and decided to check out this restaurant after finding it on tripadvisor, it was a 10-15 minute drive and it was worth it! The food is amazing. The owners even served us. They shared their experiences and gave us tips for our vacation. Wonderful people, wonderful food, worth the money and the ride there. :) If we ever go to Lovran or somewhere close, we're surely coming back to this place!

Service was a bit rude. I don't understand why owners don't train or fire underperforming staff. Meal was eatable but not impressive. Too many tourist, I guess quality is not important. I am very disappointed with tripadvisor ratings. I could have eating at a pizzeria and gotten better food!

With the quietness of its ambience, the wide range of carefuly chosen exquisite meals, and with the discreet and axclusive service, Villa Ariston's restaurant manages to entertain and please in any occasion: banquets, business meetings, cocktail parties, family celebrations, weddings... Offering unforgettable moments. The restaurant offers its services in three connected halls and on a Terrace which extends all the way to the sea.
This restaurant is set in a charming location and can be accessed by taxi or by walking along the costal path.
Having researched T.A. reviews we reserved a table for the Taster Menu with anticipation.
The first three courses were of the standard to be expected although the matched wines did not always arrive at the proper time. The following courses were - alright. Nothing to complain about but not of the expected standard and without a spread between fish and meat.
Service was very pleasant but appeared to be disjointed. Our opinion was the restaurant was not having a good night

After trying some other restaurants in Lovran and also in Opatia, we went for the last dinner to this restaurant and we regretted why we did not find it earlier! the waiter was a friendly, polite person and he served us to the best. We ate far more than we could as the dishes are really large and we enjoyed the atmosphere and view.
One star goes away because of the unwelcoming smell on entrance which was almost keeping us away from the place as we entered. However after passing the hallway the place itself was fine and free from burned fish oil smell.
The price was however comparable to what we ate in Opatia, considering that Opatia has normally worse priced due to the tourists crowd.

After Reading reviews we decided to check it out. We had one glass of bevanda each, one octopus salad together, grilled shrimps and fuži with truffles. We shared all the dishes because we wanted to try as much as possible. The food was great and also service but the portions were not really big and the price was around 500 Kn for this.

We had a lovely dinner at Oaza. Service was very friendly, even though we arrived rather late (9 30 pm) and were the last guests. Fried Calamari and Salad were good. What convinced us most was the lovely garden Seating - during the day probably with a nice sea view, but also in the evening nice, quiet and airy - not to be suspected from the stairway entrance from the street!
