I love the coffee and the staff are friendly and try to get to know you. The bathroom is always clean and there are a few chairs to sit outside and enjoy your beverage/snack. But the wait is FOR.EV.ER. The place is not that large, so I'm not sure what the hold up is. If they could speed things up, then I'd give it 5 stars. P.S. The coffee is like every other Starbucks.

Love to order their cakes for special occasions. They are decadent and delicious. Their wedding cakes are renowned. People come from far and wide for their dessert specialties.

This is a review on Happy Hour at Hawks. We come here for HH to enjoy the small plates and wines. Fresh Pea, Burchetta with Ricotta Cheese, Tempura Asparagus; Caesar Salad and sharing the burger & fries all made for a very enjoyable dinner at Hawks during Happy Hour on a recent visit. Wines by the glass at $ 6 are reasonable but there is limited selection during HH. I would go for the red blend if you are into reds. There is an extensive wine list too if you want to try something else. With about 6-8 seats at the bar and 4-5 small tables- this is a small area - so you will need to come early if you want to sit. Overall experience and service was excellent. IWish there were more restaurants of this quality in the Roseville area!
Dinner Review. Hawks is a nice dinning establishment in Granite Bay with high quality service and attention to detail. Recently celebrated my wife's B-day here. We tried the Hamachi appetizer, Caesar Salad, Slow roasted short ribs, and Halibut. Nice citrus sauce worked well with the Hamachi - although the portion was too small to share. Caesar salad was great, fresh with a touch of anchovy in the creamy cheese dressing- very fresh salad. The Halibut was well prepared - but a small portion for the price. The short rib was a large portion pulled form the bone and pressed together in a generation serving. The flavor was rich - but a little too oily for my taste. Very nice, pleasant dinner experience with serval good wines available by the glass. I wish there were more fish and pasta selections, and a good duck dish on the menu would bring me back .

My fiance and I have a long standing date with this place. About every other week, we go for Sunday brunch. I count the minutes until the next time.
Their breakfasts and especially the Eggs Benedict are fantastic. We sit out amongst the trees, bushes, plants and flowers of the nursery and unwind with a delicious meal. The setting is amazing and beautiful, food is great with homemade breads. You can't beat this setting anywhere, it's very unique.
The eggs, specialties, potatoes, homemade chips and huge pancakes are all excellent also, but ahhhhhhhh the Benedict,
For lunch the salads and specialty stuff are really good, but I will say the sandwiches are just OK, pulled pork being the best but the most popular tri-tip is a little underwhelming.
Service is right on with a very pleasant wait staff.

A large variety of nice plants and a Koi pond If you plan ahead you can have lunch in the cafe, you are advised to make reservations. the place is in demand. My last visit I was there to photo to Koi. Looking around I did see a large variety of plant specimens tastefully arranged. I've eaten in the cafe previously, but not on this visit.

This is a very good place for breakfast food. If you like eggs, you can have them prepared in various ways. The pancakes looked delicious too. We had perfectly brewed ice tea with lemon and a fresh mint leaf. We also tried a BLT and a vegetarian sandwich. Both were tasty. Service was fast and efficient. The restroom was well supplied, but had a musty smell.

Liked the Bacon Cheeseburger; bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, mustard, etc.. Good meat & a nice bun. Sampled the homemade potato chips too, really great.
What knocked me off my stool was the milkshake menu. Something like 382 different flavors.. The list takes up most of the service wall. At one point the list was in alphabetical order, but adding more shakes and not wanting to repaint the wall the order got scrambled to wherever they could find a spot to add more shakes.. It's a thick shake, if you want to use a straw you'll have to let it melt around the edges to get some up the straw. There's a list of over 300 of them on the website. You can bet I'll be back, I've got a lot of sampling to do, plus they're nice folks, very friendly, an independent shop.

Great Burmese food in a small restaurant. The tea leaves salad is one of the best salads I ever had. Rachel and her small team do a good job and it is always a pleasure to eat at the Green Elephant

Stopped for breakfast. A casual atmosphere, friendly/helpful wait staff. Prompt service. Great menu selections. The omelettes are excellent with fresh ingredients, perfectly prepared. the one I had was made with Broccoli, mushrooms, eggplant, zucchini, tomatoes, black olives, avocado and Swiss cheese with four AA extra large eggs. The Urban fries are something so simple but so addicting(topped with bacon bits, chili oil with a side of blue cheese sauce.

My family has been eating at Loomis Chinese since it opened. It has always been our to-go favorite in Chinese food locally. The House Won Ton soup has earned the nickname miracle soup as whenever one of us is ill (cold or flu) someone will ask do you need Loomis won ton? There is something magic in that broth, the veggies and won tons are just what is needed to begin recovery. I like the sesame chicken, beef with oyster sauce and also enjoy their lunch specials. It's a bit off the main road, easy to find and judging by all the to-go orders piling up on the counter very popular still after all these years.
