N’Autre Monde restaurant just two steps from the Grand Place brings you the world’s cuisines in a warm, modern setting. The dining room is a fabulous blend of pink walls, exposed brick, Louis XV chairs, chandeliers, downlighters and dramatic flower displays. Self-taught chef David Beve puts his fascination with the world’s cultures to great use in his monthly-changing menus, utilizing all the flavours of the planet with a special focus on the Caribbean and Asia, filtered through his own imagination. Dishes might include courgette flowers stuffed with salmon accompanied with red pepper coulis, roast duck breast with Szechuan pepper and rhubarb chutney, and waffle with mango compote and coulis and vanilla Chantilly. The wine list is just as much a vagabond as the chef, with bottles from every wine-producing country, it seems, as well as the classic French regions. Finish your meal with a choice of coffees and teas from all over the globe. Hire the entire venue to seat up to 35 for lovely banquets or smart seminars.
Wonderful food and even better service! Came here for my wife's birthday so was hoping for something special. Not at all disappointed... I had the squid followed by pork - both tender and accompanied with perfect vegetables and sauces. Not a big desert person, but the cheesecake was incredible. Highly recommended
PS - wife loved it too... gambas followed by duck and an incredible pavlova... gorgeous

Ils sont submergés de monde et ça se comprend ! Leurs croissants sont exceptionnels, leurs gaufres aussi, je ne suis resté que quelques jours et y suis allé sur les conseils d'un riverain. Je la garde en mémoire pour la prochaine fois !

Excellent fish restaurant. This is our 3rd visit and the welcome was absolutely perfect. A comfortable, yet sophisticated setting, off the beaten track, yet easily accessible on foot or by car.
We would totally recommend it for the choice and freshness of the ingredients, the beautiful combinations and presentation, as well as the excellent wine list and desserts.

Chef Stephane Lefevre, master restaurateur, will take you through a journey of creativity and flavours... In the heart of Lambersart, Jean Marie Depoers welcomes you into an old 17th century barn. This old farm also features 2 private dinning rooms, perfect place for business meetings, small weddings or family reunions. During summertime, you will also enjoy our terasse and garden.
Really interesting building (the best way I can describe it as a converted French Barn)but we found there was definitely a lack of atmosphere which surprised us.Very quiet indeed although plenty of diners.Food very good, service no more than reasonable.

The restaurant looks a bit out dated but the food and service is really great and full of quality! If you are in Lille, go!

Been there with 4 friends for dinner . Nice cosy restaurant with Nice thaï décor . Menu is not very original , Food was tasty and nicely présented but felt like the portions were too small and price was too high. Service was ok but nothing exceptionnal. Was expecting something better.

A modern style of "shop front" bistro, run by a couple . That it was packed with French locals on a Wednesday evening says it all. Modern style cooking and presentation but good quality and very good value. Can be a bit challenging to park close nearby but that's not the restaurants fault!

Obviously, it helps if you like meringue and sweetness. These little mounds of deliciousness made of 2 incredibly light and fluffy pieces of meringue, covered in a gentle flavored creme frosting, combined in a 3-bite mini dessert that will instantly make you wonder, "wait, where did it go?" followed by a "should I get another... few?" The answer definitely being "YES! Yes, you should, we all should!" The shop is quite small, and there are times when the line can be long, but it is worth it. To keep the line moving, the staff tries to ask customers for what they want as soon as you are within sight, sometimes before you get to the viewing counter. It's for that reason that I recommend looking at your options online before you get there. Also note that once you've ordered, the staff will often ask "et avec ceci?" which means, "and with that?" to see if you'd like anything else. If you're done, you can simply answer, "c'est tout, merci" meaning, "that's all, thank you." Pay when you get to the checkout, exit and begin to enjoy these little mounds of deliciousness!

We hadn't booked, and were lucky to get in, but we were really glad we did. Excellent food, really good service, very pleasant staff, nice wine, and all at a really reasonable price for the 3 course menu. Really recommended, but unlike us, make sure you book!

A group of friends travelled from England on Eurostar for a day trip to Lille. Lunch at La Criniere was the high point of the visit. We arrived late, because of our confusion about the time of the booking, but the host was very accommodating. He offered us very good local beer while we decided on our meal and we made our choices from the tempting food on offer. The food, from appetisers to dessert, was excellent, the wine very good, the service superb. After we finished he was able to recommend the perfect bar to find a good selection of micro-brewed beers.
We had such a good experience that we will definitely return and we would recommend this fine bistro to anyone.
