We recently heard that Shamus did a large renovation. As a married couple with two kids, we don't get out to each much but love Shamus when we can. We took the kids and my parents with us this time. The new, fresh look was great. Just the kick it needed to stay one of our favorite restaurants. The owner was friendly and kind to our children. Kids menu had a good selection. We all enjoyed our meals. The scallop appetizer with caramelized onions was my favorite.

We are a cool little artisan ice cream shop that specializes in amazing ice cream in flavors that will astound you.
After completing the Lockport Cavern tour, we stopped here for a snack. Amazing place - beautiful building, friendly staff and phenomenal ice cream! Didn't expect this "artisanal" ice cream parlor to be as good as it was! We thoroughly enjoyed our hot chocolate, peanut butter, cookies and cream and glazed donut scoops. Decadent and unique, we will definitely visit again if we are in the area.

We were looking forward to this and our expectations were only heightened after smelling the wonderful aroma of smoking meat in the parking lot. The meal did not disappoint. Generous portions cooked to perfection. The brisket was juicy and melting tender. The BBQ sauces were good and the service fast and friendly. An all around good time.

We offer the best authentic Mexican food in the area. We are family friendly and a family run local business. Stop in for dinner you will be glad you did.
I had been here a couple of times before and went again today with seven friends. Service was prompt, efficient and friendly. Everyone was well satisfied with their lunches off of the lunch menu. Prices are VERY reasonable. The decor is interesting and colorful. They certainly do not skimp on the size of the portions. I had the chicken chimichanga and it was delicious! I think this may be the best Mexican restaurant I have eaten at.

I moved from Lockport a couple of years ago and came back to visit.
Met a friend who recommended it. We met early enough that we missed the typical lunch crowd and were seated right away.
Our waitress was friendly and accommodating. Lunch didn’t take long and even though there was a misunderstanding with my order, it didn’t take long to fix.
My friend had the steak salad and I had the portobello burger. The dressing for the salad was unique and good! (Grape believe it or not)
My burger was good but the bun was close to being stale, so that took away a bit.
Other than that it was a good meal.

Family Owned & Operated, Comfort Food at Comfortable Prices
One of our friends retired and in order to celebrate we decided on lunch and the retiree picked the Hilltop Restaurant. While it is out of the way the food and service were excellent. The specials list was as long as a menu and the waitress had it committed to memory. The selections included salads, sandwiches and meatloaf. All were pleased with their selection and a return is already planned so more of the selections can be tried. The hardest part of the visit was the selection of the entree. The waitress was exceptional.

Step Inside, Step Back in Time
I had lunch with my sister here today. I think it is her favorite place, and it's certainly ONE of my favorite places to eat in downtown Lockport. I ordered the PiTTSBURGH SALAD off of their specials blackboard. It was really good and it was so huge that I brought much of it home. I requested that the fries on my salad be their fresh cut fries rather than the ones that are frozen but somehow that request got lost. The regular fries were good anyways. I hope they make the PITTSBURGH SALAD a regular item.

We went to the Village Eatery Italian Bistro for my brother-in-law's birthday; 10 adults, 2 children. They were able to handle us well; set up the tables in a back room, but still open to the rest of the restaurant. Food is a wide variety of Italian dishes (Lockport is heavily ethnic Italian); everything from basic pastas to scampi, and variations of veal, pork and chicken dishes. I had the fruit de mar on a bed of linguini with a white wine sauce. It was very good, with a lot of pasta but not as much on the seafood: Two scallops, 3 cherrystone clams, a few shrimp...$19 plus tax and tip.

New York Beer Project is a Destination Brewery, Gastropub, Taproom, Private Event Space, and Outdoor Biergarten located in Lockport, NY.
We like New York Beer Project (NYBP) in Lockport. They have a massive beer selection, including their own microbrewery choices. They have good food, and the place always seems to be packed. But this recently we had a disappointment.
I invited two friends to NYBP for lunch on Sunday. We arranged to meet at 1:00 pm. When we got seated, we discovered that NYBP only served their limited brunch menu, with the change to the full menu at 2:00 pm. We didn't want to wait until 2:00 pm, so we had to order from the brunch menu. Everybody in my party was disappointed with the limited choices. We all went with the best option we could find, but none of us were able to order what we had hoped to order.
It would be nice if the restaurant made their full menu available a little earlier, maybe even 1:00 pm, but 12:00 would be better. We've learned our lesson and if we go again on a Sunday, it will not be before 2:00 pm.
