Very nice restaurant next to 2 others, on the beach. Had some lovely sweet Tilos / Symi shrimp, small fish / white bait, and some very tasty local vegetarian dishes. Lovely owners / staff.

Restaurant on the beach of Livadia Tilos . With traditional Greek cuisine
This is a very good small restaurant offering a variety of seafoods. It's recommendable if you spend time on Tilos.

Love this place! The food is fresh and tasty. There are so many cats wandering around (like in all the restaurants) but fortunately I love them. The owner even brought me ham to feed the cats. Such a genuinely nice guy!

First let me say there are no bad gyros on Tilos. But this one is the best! Opens at 7pm and serves amazing gyros both to eat there and to go. A must for anyone looking for a gyro!

Small Greek Island near Rhodes
We came to Tilos on 16 September & decided to have lunch here based on the reviews.Very disappointed as the food was about average.
I suppose they keep the name Sophia to fool people into thinking they will get good home cooked food.Sophia died some years ago but her sons carry on the taverna.
My lunch was spoiled by one of the taverna cats jumping on the table & spilling food on my shirt.I have still not been able to remove the stains.

What a fantastic place. The environment, the food and the service were very good.
The restaurant offers a minivan service that can pick you up and then return you. Rob, the English waiter and driver was very nice and friendly.
We got loads of yummy things to eat. We got the tyrokroketes (fried cheese balls) which were very tasty. The rebythokeftedes (chick pea balls) were nice, but the onions were overpowering). The restaurant's own goats cheese was amazing. It was like a ricotta insalata cheese.
The chorta (boiled greens) were very nice. The fried gavros fish was excellent. The fava was very interesting and tasty. And the grilled feta with tomatoes and green peppers was yummy.
The only thing that i personally did not like very much was the spit roasted goat. The meat was nice but I found it a bit cold for my liking.
We also got the white house wine (x 2) and 2 bottles of water.
The bill was about €65.
At the end they offered this amazing dessert which was like a cookie dough with fruit and syrup. Yummy!
Highly recommended

Had the pleasure to dine had last night. Nice spot with a view over the port. Nice and cheerful staff and great service. The food were really good and the portions were big enough. Recommended!

Our favourite place on Tilos for a drink. (We haven't eaten here, although the food looks good enough.) Frequented by locals and visitors alike. We love the roof top Terrace to catch the last of the sun. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Overlooks the beach.

We stayed a month on Tilos and in our first week we celebrated at Filoxenia restaurant . Having met Stella when we bought fresh lettuce and courgettes from their garden we were keen to sample her renowned cooking .
We were not disappointed and enjoyed salted tuna and tiny brown shrimps for our starter, with Stella's speciality of stuffed courgette flowers , deep fried , absolutely delicious .
We also had fish , freshly caught from Ag Antonio a few miles away . Unusually for Greece we finished off the meal with a chocolate pudding and fresh apricots and strawberries ( all from the garden ) and then a very large Metaxa !
There is a unique atmosphere and it is a joy to experience such good food in this country setting , literally in the fields where melons grow ( and all manner of other fruit and vegetables ) .
One word of warning , the fish in Greece is very expensive and sold by the kilo , so do get an estimate of the cost before you order. I think I will stick to goat next time!
We walked home feeling very full to the gorgeous calling of the Schlops owls .

Well these are the best lamb chops I have ever tasted - you actually get 4 huge chops for a mere 8.50 euros. Pete has a different joint of meat on his spit every day and whether it be lamb, pork or chicken everything is just so succulent and the portions are huge for a very reasonable price.
Anything chosen from the menu is freshly cooked and the end result is well worth the wait.
No fancy frills here - just excellent Greek food which can be washed down with local
wine.
Very popular taverna but you will never be turned away since the boss will produce a table for you so you can savour the taste of his perfectly cooked food.
