I have eaten here 3 or 4 times previous to this visit. Each time I could not finish my order — too much (very good) food! This time I ordered the Senior Special consisting of 2 pancakes, one egg and a sausage patty (or sausage link or bacon). It was enough to eat without being wasteful and was less than $7.00.
The sausage patty was tasty, the egg was properly cooked and the pancakes were excellent. My wife had a salad, which was also very good.
This place gets very busy for lunch — come early or wait.

Located in Libertyville (and also Round lake), this has become our favorite area bakery. From coffecakes to doughnuts to custom birthday cakes and even a wedding cake, we have never been disappointed. Not only are their products good and always fresh, those working in the store (or by phone) are friendly and helpful. Tasteful bakery products and service---the combination is the magic behind this local favorite.

I was visiting my sister who lives in Libertyville. She recommended Hansa for coffee in the morning. This is an exceptional little coffee shop that is behind two retail stores and well worth the search.
It’s hard to believe that people prefer Starbucks over a hand pulled, local roasted coffee.
Nice and friendly staff, garage doors open on this fall morning, lively, sense of community, both visits well worth it.
Best coffee in a long time. I will return.

Lee Donuts has some of the best doughnuts of anyplace! They have many options, plus they have ice cream! What place could get better than that? Doughnuts and ice cream. The only thing is I wish they put their nutrition information on their website or something.

My wife has been trying to get me to go to this restaurant for months now, but I'm not a real fan of Japanese food. My wife and daughter are though. So, since my daughter was visiting and it was her birthday, I broke down and went. Wow! The food was excellent. They have a Berkshire Pork chop that is cooked and seasoned perfectly. And, of course, my wife and daughter liked the Chicken Tempura and Shrimp dish. The service was excellent also. Nicole was our server and did an excellent job. I told my wife and daughter that we can come back as often as they like (just as long as I can have the Pork chop).

Wood-Fired Pizzeria serving Artisan pizza, salads, small plate appetizers and small plate entrees. Full Bar, Take Out and Private Parties available.
We have visited this restaurant many times & it is consistently very, very good. We enjoy all different styles of pizza: deep dish, American, Naples style, wood fired, coal fired. Pizzeria DeVille is our favorite in the Chicago area for the wood burning style pizza. Overall its actually our favorite pizza place! The pizza is thin crust & flavorful. The sauce & topping ingredients very good. I think the secret to a great pizza is when all the flavors - crust, sauce, cheese & ingredients don't compete with each other. Pizzeria DeVille has this dialed in. Our favorite meal is sharing the Maaa Salad with the Pride of the Yankees pizza. I don't know where they source their meats but the sausage & pepperoni are exceptional. We have also gotten the prosciutto & arugula pizza which is very good as well. The Maaa Salad is loaded with chopped fresh ingredients. The restaurant is always very busy & bustling but not necessarily too noisy.Good reasonably priced wine list, generous pours. People of all ages dining here with lots of families. The service is consistently very good & what you'd expect at a pizzeria. The owner is often on site talking to the customers. You can tell he really cares about the restaurant. This is a great restaurant to bring your family & even little ones. The price points are extremely reasonable for the quality of the pizza & service. We have brought friends, business associates & family here on different occasions & everyone seems to really enjoy it!

I must confess that we haven't been to Firkin in a few years. It was basically replaced by a couple of the newer restaurants in town. On a whim we decided to go last night and since it was early, we knew we would have a good chance of getting a table.
We were seated by one of the windows - which is my favorite place to sit. Out of the way of all the people at the bar, which can become 3-deep at times.
Our server Eric, was excellent. Had some old favorites like the Calamari and lentil spread. Four of us all enjoyed our meals (grilled salmon sandwich, shrimp tacos, steak and potatoes and chicken teriyaki pasta). A couple of glasses of wine and a cocktail. Total came to $118 before tip.
They changed up their menu - and I like it a lot. Beer list is so extensive that it still overwhelms me, but the staff has always been knowledgeable and can easily make suggestions based on your tastes.
I think the prices are very fair. In keeping with a north suburb.
Sorry we have not visited you in so long! We'll be back soon.

Very good menu with wide range of choices. However, what was served was not your ordinary expectation. Seems like every dish they served was special. I had a simple pulled pork sandwich, but it was absolutely scrumptious, full of flavor, not over spiced. Others in our party had the same reaction. Thank you Kaylee, for your service and a most enjoyable evening meal.

Egg Harbor Café specializes in gourmet breakfast and lunch creations served from 6:30 am to 2 pm daily, in a warm, charming, country setting with fast, friendly and efficient service.
Stopped for late breakfast with friends. Minimal wait, less than 1 mimute. Greg (curly black hair) was lively and welcoming. Checked on us appropriately. Had the chorizo chiliquellas. Great green salsa tang awakens the taste buds. Fresh hot coffee pot on the table. Easily conversed with each other. Great value worth the visit.

Shared plates & preprohibition cocktails.
Excellent brunch with girlfriends. We loved the Bloody Marys with a beer back. Chilaquiles, scrambled eggs, tater tots were all excellent. The crown jewel was the CJ Ken and waffles with fois gras-amazing! Loved everything about our experience there. The staff, the food, the ambiance-all a 10! We will definitely be back.
