Elizabeth’s is a true upscale bistro with casual dress, complete with good, hearty food made from the freshest ingredients. Our 110+ bottle wine list is sure to please any wine connoisseur. We have earned the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence since 2003. Located in the heart of the historic district of downtown Lewisburg, our 85 seat, non-smoking restaurant is the place where people go for a lively night out. Our wine bar has over 18 wines by the glass, as well as a full service bar. The wine bar area is just the place to watch the chefs prepare each plate to order in the open-kitchen and enjoy happy hour with friends. EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED.
This place can be dangerous to your health. They do not honor requests concerning food sensitivities/allergies. Be forewarned!
We arrived on a Sat. night with a reservation well in advance for two people. We were placed next to a boisterous party of ten. The noise was deafening. I heard a man seated nearby shout, "next time let's just have dinner at home!" Indeed.
I made a very clear request to our waitress that I needed to avoid any onions or garlic. I told her it wouldn't kill me, but it would make life miserable. She said she communicated that to the chef. We asked for a glass of wine, and we were told they were very busy with the party of ten. Thirty five minutes later, I literally chased down a waiter and begged them to give us our glasses of wine. One hour and fifteen minutes later I received my meal---completely covered in garlic sauce. Not just the fish, but all the vegetables, too. The waitress said, someone other than the chef must have prepared my meal. Who would that be??? She offered to start over, but at this point, I had had enough of Elizabeth's. I was too darn hungry to wait for them to start over.
It was very disappointing, because we had had a really nice lunch there a year ago, so we made a special effort to get a reservation there after a long day of driving. It was a horrible experience. But...don't worry, they still charged us full freight on a toxic meal.

This little shop is owned by a husband and wife and they make all the chocolates and baked goods. They have a good variety of different chocolates both in dark, milk and white chocolates and each day they have different breads, baked goods, etc. Definitely try this place!

Stopped in to Sweet Frog's for a delightful experience. You can have as much as you want! There are lots and lots of toppings to choose from, 10 to 12 different ice cream and combinations too. I love this! Now I know what my niece Melissa loves about this place.

Went to lunch here with a group of friends. The food was very well prepared, was as described on the menu, and was attractively presented. The service was prompt, polite, and professional. Despite the number of us in attendance, our server had no difficulty remembering what each of us ordered and what side dishes and desserts were included with our varied orders. Prices might be a bit more than what one would ordinarily pay for a workday lunch, but worth every penny, considering the quality of the food, the adequacy of portions provided, as well as the dedicated attention of the staff and server. The restaurant is situated in a building constructed as a residence; so, its dining areas are very comfortable and homelike -- not the usual crowded and noisy commercial / institutional .setting -- and we were not rushed to finish our lunches and leave to make room for others. I stop short of giving the place an Excellent rating, only because I prefer to reserve that higher rating for restaurants situated in more rural settings with scenic views. This restaurant, located on a main drag just outside of city limits, lacks that one attribute. Otherwise, it is a very nice place to enjoy excellent food and to focus on socializing with your dining companions on special occasions.

We have been enjoying stops at the Lewisburg Freez ever since we first visited Lewisburg in 1998. Our most recent visit was in September 2016 and it was as great as always--the peanut butter freez is my favorite, but milkshakes, hot fudge sundaes, cones have all been enjoyed. Their service is generally pleasant, efficient, and worth any wait when there's a line if you go at a busy time.

A warm, inviting, family atmosphere awaits you - a place where you can relax, enjoy a great meal, browse through our Gift Shops, and take home delicious, fresh-baked goodies from our in-house bakery.
Eating at chain restaurants has never been my preference. Ever! But this independently owned eatery? What a mistake it was to stop here. I'm sure that commercial food distribution service companies have different grades of food that restaurants may purchase. The food served at Country Cupboard tasted and looked as though it was the least expensive food available. And those who prepare the food were certainly not chefs by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, there was no imagination in the preparation of the dishes. It seemed as though that if you had experience flipping burgers at Mickey D's or had taken home-ec 101 in high school, then you were qualified to work in the kitchen at this place. Nearby, on the main highway, there are nationally recognized chain restaurants and that is where you should eat, rather than Country Cupboard, when in Lewisburg.

The Purple Cow probably looks like a simple roadside ice cream stand, but it's not that simple. They have a huge menu (another review mentioned it going on forever; that's about right) most of which you'll never try since you're probably just passing by. The ice cream is great, the selection is as well, and I can't imagine anyone seriously complaining about the portions. Large = huge, Small = big. The drinks are good (real fresh-brewed Iced Tea, not from a mix) and the prices are more than fair. Service is fast and friendly, especially considering sometimes they're slammed with lines. They have a sit down, indoor section which closes earlier than the service window, but also outdoor seating. Note: Cash only.

My lovely wife and I recently ate here on a Friday afternoon while greenhouse hopping in the Mifflinburg/Lewisburg areas. The restaurant is inside of the farm market/bakery building and has recently been refurbished into a "farm to table" restaurant. There is a small buffet available as a stand alone or included with any entree on the menu or certain other items on the menu. EVERYTHING on the buffet was superb. Items included mac and cheese, grilled bbq chicken, pulled pork lasagna, baked beans, pasta, salad stuff, two kinds of soup, delectably moist corn bread and some fruit and a few dessert choices. The entree I chose was the meatloaf. I consider myself somewhat of a meatloaf connoisseur and this was the best I ever had. The presentation was very nice. My one minor quibble was that the 4 small lumps of mashed potatoes could have used more gravy. The mint sweet tea was very tasty as was the pink lemonade. The restaurant was very clean and the staff super friendly including the owner who stopped to talk to my wife for a few minutes. The prices in my opinion are very fair. I believe that the buffet by itself was $13. The meatloaf was $15 and included the buffet items! The restaurant is located right beside state route 45 and has a pretty good sized parking lot and is easy to get into and out of. I highly recommend you try this place.

Next to the Best Western Country Cupboard Inn and the Country Inn & Suites.
This was a return visit for me after having a decent meal during my first trip. This second trip did not disappoint. The staff was excellent and the food was simply outstanding. I cannot wait to return.

Restaurant is an hour away from our home. During trips to Lewisburg, avoided this restaurant for years assuming it was just another "Americanized Italian". On a day others were closed we finally made it here. Arrived at 2pm, no one else dining except a carry-out Pizza. We requested the Patio and were accommodated in a super friendly manner. Patio was under a tent looking to the woods - not fancy but nice. Overall our food was especially nice. Bruchetta was outstanding; Antipasto Platter = good; Caesar Salad a bit acid but good; Main Courses were also outstanding: Shrimp, Crab & Tortellini special was perfectly cooked and flavorful; Veal Rossini was superb: Veal cooked perfectly, Prosciutto, Mushroom and cream sauce over Pasta. Avoided the tomato based Marinara for authentic Italian cream based sauces. Very good value wine. Even though service to the Patio was out of their way Server was attentive, friendly, informative with frequent check-backs to assure we were happy. Brought leftovers home and used as a base for following meals. WILL BE BACK!
