Lephalale or Ellisras is a coal mining town in the Limpopo province of South Africa immediately east of the Waterberg Coalfield. The town was established as Ellisras in 1960 and named after the original farm owners, Patrick Ellis and Piet Erasmus. In 2002, Ellisras was renamed Lephalale by the provincial government of Limpopo, after the main river that crosses the municipality. Lephalale is divided into three main subsections, Ellisras, Onverwacht and Marapong. Lephalale is derived from the Setswana meaning "to flow".

The main restaurant is now a branded Cappuccinos, with a sizable menu which includes meats, fish, pizza and pasta. We went for the steaks - perfectly done. Good service and reasonable wine list

In a small town, selection is rather limited but for special occasions or functions this place is the usual choice. The restaurant at Machauka Lodge is consistently maintains the standard. The setting is tranquil, and there is even outside tables if preferred. I attended a company year-end function and it was a great night out. Service is good, and food was good too. It's more of a steak-house than gourmet food. Interesting that they had a DJ during the food service on a Friday night, we were not sure of the waltz music at times though.

Innovations Coffee Shop include a comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff, and good coffee. We offer a full range of coffee drinks, from espresso to mocha shakes, red cappuccino and hot chocolate. Hungry? Try our variety of breakfasts, health/toasted sandwiches, quiches and our famous homemade "Pineapple creamy tart" or other tarts & cakes.
Not worth going to. I am rather surprised they are open. It does not makes sense as the is no visible business happening, so I am not sure what to make of a venue that supplies coffee that's tates like Frisco.

Golden Rock Spur at Lephalale Mall in Onverwacht, is a family-friendly restaurant that serves the best ribs, burgers & steaks. Bring along your kids for some great tasting food & dessert from our famous Spur menu!
Goldenrock spur is locayed in Lephalale mall where you receive a warm welcome at the door. The service is good and the food is well prepared on a spur style way. The waiter turns often to ensure everything is good.Dear gerda12015, Thank you for the review of Golden Rock Spur! The parking at Ocean Basket appears a bit chaotic and Friday nights is full. The welcome by 5 waiters is exceptional but the further service of Seating and bringing drinks leaves a lot to be desired. The food, including sushi and desserts is standard for a food chain.

Panarottis Pizza Pasta specialises in serving quality Italian-style cuisine. The restaurant offers a friendly and relaxing environment where friends and family can enjoy a delicious handmade pizza topped with the freshest ingredients. Pizzas are traditionally made with a thin base, with calzone and thick base available on request. Every pizza is made from an original and unique recipe, but if none of the pizza options seem satisfying enough, you can create your own pizza with a selection of your favourite toppings.
One thing that is quite noticeable is the increase in staff but the lack of Service. You are welcome by a sudden influx of waitrons, but once you seated, it's another story. Servers are not properly trained to listen to an order and you could be sitting at a table whilst the table next to you a blind eye is cast on tables waiting to be cleared. However there are servers chatting in a line that seem to miraculously lost all vision to the basic premise of "clearing the table". I often order in and found that prices seem to vary, for an example a price listed on menus R80 price charged on Delivery R154. I left it at first but queried it o 2 other occassions and was offered a sorry by the driver who promised to find out. Be that as it may, to add insult to injury, on a further 2 dine in sittings, one being last night I found what appeared to be the the order of the diner next to us, on my bill.
So a change of venue is now in the cards for me - but you decide for yourself.

At Pot lifestyle cafe we make our food.... just like Grandma mad it. With real butter, cream and only fresh ingredients. Good food prepared from scratch, requirs love, time and care. Your patience is appreciated
The venue is very interesting in terms of decor.
Our waitron, Charlie, was exceptionally efficient and friendly.
The meals were pretty big and very enjoyable and well prepared.
The only issue for us was the toilets with only i cubicle for all diners which also required a key. This can be a problem if one " must go".
Otherwise highly recommended.
