Calhoun's is far from my favorite BBQ place, but at 7:30 at night in Lenoir City if you want a "sit down" restaurant and an adult beverage, it is probably your best bet.
During daylight there is a bit of water view if you sit on the porch, but at night, we didn't care, so we were seated in the main dining room. We both decided to try the ribs....half a slab with two sides......my wife had baked potato and slaw, I had baked potato and green beans.
Ribs are good, but not great....for starters, only one sauce, and it comes slathered on the ribs, with a bottle on the table to add more. It was was too sweet for my taste. I would have preferred mustard based, vinegar based, spicy, smoky, anything but sweet.
Sides were good. Service was excellent....Monica was right on top of everything with drink refills, extra napkins, etc.
We sometimes boat to Calhoun's during the season...it is one of the better places to boat to, especially if you want more than bar food.

We stayed at a hotel close to this Dunkin Donuts and it is very accessible to either local business or the highway. Clean and well run it seems, it is hard to beat this brand of coffee when traveling.

Don't go here unless you want the absolute best donuts ever! Try the apple fritters pleas! They even have breakfast sandwiches with sausage or bacon and egg. But I like the jalepeno breakfast sandwich. They've also got smoothies and a full range of soft drinks.
The servers are extra kind and make you want to come back!
Thank you for opening this place in downtown Lenoir City!

The owners of the Ugly Mug spent a sizable chunk of change converting and repurposing a former auto transmission shop into an attractive eye-catching coffee shop complete with a drive-up window and outdoor seating. The inside of the Ugly Mug is bright and shiny with a nice service counter, a display case and all the usual coffee making paraphernalia. As per the menu board, they offer espresso drinks, hot chocolate, chai latte, hot tea, frozen lemonade, frappes, a plethora of cold coffee drinks, brewed coffee and 3 signature drinks. They also offer a few breakfast items plus an expanded lunch menu.
The owner’s brother has an Ugly Mug location in Memphis Tennessee and he grinds all the coffee for both cafes. Customers can purchase packaged Ugly Mug Coffee to take home. I had my usual cup of bold coffee and my wife had an Ugly Mug special Latte…. Both drinks were top notch.
I didn’t take a photo of my bagel and cream cheese as it was just fine but it was nothing unusual or different. ($2.35) My wife ordered a ham and cheese panini. ($5.95) It was very good!
On St. Patrick’s Day, my wife and two of her friends, Jodie and Rosie, took a break from shopping and stopped by the Ugly Mug for a bit of lunch. Both my spouse and Jodie ordered the day’s quiche which also came with a side salad. Both ladies were very happy with their choice, though the quiche could of been a bit warmer in the middle, but it was still very good. Rosie ordered a Cuban sandwich…which she thought was absolutely excellent! Service was spot on!

We had a nice restaurant picked out for dinner but we decided to avoid the weather related traffic issues and dine closer to home. Our friends Norm and Linda planned to go with us and when we suggested Casa Fiesta Mexican Restaurant and Grill for dinner, they gave it their enthusiastic endorsement. It turned out that this is their favorite local Mexican restaurant…
We arrived early, at about 5 PM so Casa Fiesta wasn’t busy yet. By the time we finished and were ready to leave, the restaurant was packed! Not bad considering it was the Tuesday after Labor Day… We sat in the larger dining room but the other side of Casa Fiesta has a smaller dining area and a small bar. As with most Mexican restaurants, the décor is colorful and upbeat.
Of course the server automatically started us out with the usual basket of tortilla chips and salsa. A small dish of bean and cheese dip was also served with the chips. Except for myself, everyone else at the table loves guacamole so Norm ordered a big bowl of Guacamole Dip for the table. ($4.75) It was enthusiastically consumed down to the last bits…
As usual in a Mexican Restaurant, the menu was huge…with 4 pages loaded with a wide variety of selections. Linda chose her dinner from the section of new dinner offerings. She had the Burrito Texano. ($11.99) It consists of shrimp, steak, chicken and onions with cheese over the top and it was served with lettuce, tomatoes and more guacamole. A ‘to go’ box was requested so that none of her meal would be wasted…
Norm also picked his entrée from the new dinner selection. He had the Burrito Norteno. ($8.99) In this instance, it consisted of a flour tortilla filled with eggs, shredded chicken (or beef) and covered with cheese sauce accompanied by lettuce, sour cream and rice.
My wife loves quesadillas. She was very happy to spot the Quesadilla Loca on the menu. ($6.99) This tortilla was filled with melted cheese, spinach and mushrooms…and then it was grilled. She really liked it and said that she’d definitely order it again!
I was happy to note that Casa Fiesta has a ‘sauce’ bar, stocked with everything from a green sauce all the way up to a couple of very hot spicy versions. I got a cup of one of the hotter versions plus a few jalapeno slices in preparation for my dinner… My entrée was the Chili Colorado. ($10.99) It included broiled sliced strips of steak in a red chili sauce and it was served with Mexican rice and beans along with 4 soft tortillas on the side. I’ve had Chili Colorado in at least 4 other area Mexican restaurants…and this was easily the best of them all!
After those big meals plus the chips, salsa and guacamole, sensible folks would have called it a day… We just aren’t sensible folks. It was dessert time! Norm ordered the Sopapilla. ($1.99) These deep fried tortillas were topped with honey, whipped cream and chocolate sauce. My wife ordered the Flan. ($3.49) The traditional Mexico City style crème caramel was buried under this mound of whipped cream, caramel, chocolate sauce and as you can see, it was topped by a cherry. Although this seemed to be an unusual way to serve flan, Laurie said that it was very good…
Linda decided to try the Fried Chimichanga. ($3.99) This dessert comes with a mixture of apple or bananas with nuts, butter, cinnamon and sugar rolled into a flour tortilla and fried, then covered with whipped cream, caramel and chocolate sauce. She cleaned her plate... My choice was easy… I love top quality Churros! Casa Fiesta’s version of this deep fried Mexican treat was especially tasty… They were filled with apples, and then coated with cinnamon and sugar. Casa Fiesta must have overbought whipped cream, chocolate sauce and caramel…but it all worked well with the churros…
Service was fine, the restaurant was clean and the food was superior.

We have been here several times for lunch and it is consistently good home cooking. We had friends visiting us and we took them here for lunch. They live in Tellico Village, just a few miles away, but had never heard of Kinfolk Café. They were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the country atmosphere. We were all impressed by the addition of the event venue and plan to use it for our some of our Corvette club events. My friend is anxious to go back and explore the antique store that is attached. The staff is always friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that they are only open for lunch and not breakfast!

My family and I ate here while traveling home from vacation. This was our first time at this location, but we all enjoy Chick-fil-A. The staff is very friendly, the restaurant is clean and the service was quick. I would go here again if I am in the area.

Good service and food was excellent. Really good Calzone and the rest of the menu looked good. Hard to decide on what to order. I'll go back next time in town. Waitresses were very pleasant and did a great job.

I had read the reviews and really wanted to like this restaurant but was extremely disappointed. Our reservation was just 30.minutes before closing so I'm not sure if that was the reason everything seemed old and stale and cold. At $35 pp plus drinks and gratuity I expect the food to be as fresh for the later seating as the earlier ones. The service was very good and all the staff were friendly or I would have just rated it one star. Even though my husband received a $25 gift card to be used on our next visit we still wouldn't bother to return. There are so many rave reviews for this restaurant that I have to wonder how they disappointed so greatly today.
