We first went here as part of the excellent Asheville Food Tour (see separate review). During the tour we enjoyed samples and chocolate making info. We returned post-tour for our free tour goodie (chocolate shaped like NC). We all purchased additional yummy truffles and chocolates to take home. They almost look too pretty to eat (but we will eat them of course!) High quality and delicious!

We tried five small plates and all were delicious. Our favorite was the cannelloni. I would recommend the El Bandarra Rojo vermouth as an aperitif. It was fabulous. Will definitely be back.

We had a very mediocre meal here at a very high price. I have heard how great the food is and perhaps it was just a bad night or maybe the chef was out. The service was a little affected too. We had dinner-many of these reviews are for lunch. I would really like this restaurant to be consistently great as it is close to home.

This place was previously called "Lick Skillet". It came under new ownership. We went there for breakfast. The woman who was our server was very friendly. Regrettably, the simple breakfast was rather marginal, not in quantity, but rather in a dry taste and a sort of dull presentation.

For the love of God please go to Hole now! It is amazing, delicious, and just feels nice to be in there! Can’t wait to go back!

Nice hostess and friendly waitress. (Alisse? Elisse?) Perfect service. Husband had the brunch special and I had a version of Huevos Rancheros. Both were very good. We love sitting in the red room. This place rarely disappoints. Nice brunch. Would be nice to have another 1 or 2 choices of brunch choices without all the bacon and sausage. We'll be back!

An Asheville favorite since 2003, Sunny Point Café serves award-winning upscale comfort food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Craft cocktails, beers and wines are available to enjoy with meals. Sunny Point Café is a family-owned and operated West Asheville restaurant featuring a covered, outdoor dining area and an on-site production garden providing fresh produce just steps from the kitchen. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Reservations accepted for dinner only.
Loved the fun, vibrant, friendly atmosphere. Only a 15 min wait around 2:30pm on a Friday. Bakery items and fresh coffee were available while we waited in a garden like waiting area. Everything we had was delicious, flavorful and fresh...heuveros rancheros, omelette, bacon (is a must!), carrot hoecake and angel biscuit (tastes like a cross between a biscuit and a roll). Waiter, Jared, was quick, helpful and provided just the right amount of service. Small restaurant with close seating, which adds to the fun atmosphere. If no parking in small lot beside cafe, park at Ingles grocery up the street to avoid getting towed. Fun little garden on backside of restaurant to walk through. We will definitely bring our family and friends back when we visit Asheville again.

We wondered into this attractive cafe while shopping hoping to get a snack and cup of coffee. We had an odd experience. My wife saw an attractive quiche in the display by the register (with all the other pastries offered). However, when she ordered it (at 3pm) she said that they couldn't serve it anymore. We asked why because it was sitting write there and she said it was too late. Another nearby worker said they would ask somebody. After a few minutes, someone came out and served us the quiche. Odd that organizational problems are found in a small business like this. By the way, the quiche was good, but not worth the fuss and wait. I ordered the 'sticky' cinnamon bun which they did serve, but did not offer to heat. I also ordered plain coffee but they said they were out and would make some. The coffee came right around the time I finished by cinnamon bun, which was good but not great. With all the other competition in the area for coffee and pastries, I would not go back, but I understand that I just may have had bad luck.

My wife and I have driven by this bar many times on our way home. We wondered if it was open for business. They open at 4 PM and normally the place doesn't start to get busy until around 8-9 PM; hence the empty parking spaces.
Gary and Katy are great owners and immediately make you feel welcome and just like a regular. So don't be afraid to stop in if no one else is there.
They have a good selection of bottled beer and about 4 beers on tap. They serve a lot of wine (there is a screwball hard liquor law in Leicester, so no hard liquor) and many of the drinks taste just like they were made with high octane whiskey - so don't let the no hard liquor keep you from visiting.
The food menu is confined to the usual bar food/snacks, but you came there for a beer, right?
They have entertainment events almost every evening, so plan on darts, music or pool (the tables are really in need of some refinishing). But then again, you came there for a good time, right?
Give this place a chance. I think you will enjoy your visit.
