A Dutch pancake is a treat ... and ours were HUGE - larger than the plate they were served on. I had the ginger and he had the apple, we could hardly finish them - good value for the food and a novelty to be aboard a real ship and looking out the portholes at the various boats passing on the canal. Service was prompt and friendly and the atmosphere laid back and unfussy - we were not disappointed with our meal or our service.

We were in Leeuwarden for business and we like to combine these trips with culinary adventures. Leeuwarden is an historical Frisian city and is a great destination in it's own right.
Well Eindeloos (which translates to "Endless") was a very pleasant experience indeed.
The cook uses mostly ingedrients from European and local sources and composes dishes that often hint to older Frisian and Dutch recipes with subtle use of historical spices and spice combinations.
The dishes are surprising, unique, interesting and well composed. I was impressed.
The service is very friendly and elegant. The waiter / sommelier made an excellent wine selection that put the finishing touch on the experience. We ordered the surprise menu. When the waiter took the order he specificly enquired what ingredients were not desirable and took the time to make sure this point was covered well. I like that kind of attention to detail.
All in all this restaurant is very attractive for the exploratory gourmet and a thrill for the not-so-adventurous, I would have no problem bringing (well behaved) children to this restaurant.
Any human will like what the cook serves.
The restaurant is located in an historical building, close to several hotels and smack dead in the center of Leeuwarden. I consider this a perfect spot to celeberate the end of a beautiful day in Leeuwarden.

We came here by chance, and were not at all disappointed. The food was creative and well prepared, and the 3 course menu was a good value. In addition, the staff was very accommodating for some special requests. I could have lived without the Savory Crème Brûlée, but it was fun to try it. All in all, I would be happy to return here.

We visited this restaurant on a Monday night and were almost put off by a party of 24 who were already seated. However, on the assurance of our waitress that no great delays etc., would occur we sat down. We had the usual popadoms and some lovely unusual tamarind dip. After which we had three curries between us. My wife likes prawns, and that curry was good. The fish curry was even better, but the lamb madras was really excellent. Big pieces of tender lamb that had been marinated so long that the taste was right in the meat. Hot and spicy and the best curry I have had for years.

Visited during a trip to Netherlands, lovely, friendly staff but, above all, the food was absolutely superb. Serving small dishes, order three or four between two of you and you will not be disappointed with the delicious cooking and ingredients. The whole evening was topped with the attention to detail such as the petit fours served with coffee. All in all a lovely experience and one that I can highly recommend.

With a small but versatile offering in three, four or five course cards, this Restaurant is special. The red perch first dish needed the herbs and textures around it as the fish is not really of memorable flavour. The Angus beef dish was very tasty and the beef very tender, again well presented with fabulous Frysh potatoes.
The wine list was adequate and reasonably prices we thought.
We recommend ' By Us' for a beautifully presented dining evening

We visited this place on Hemelvaartsdag for dinner and it was very busy. We ordered drinks and they came swiftly. Also the food was quick to arrive. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. We had a Walrus burger (medium rare), pork fillet sate and 2 salmon steaks. The burger was not medium rare as promised on the menu and the salmon steaks were full of little bones. Ok, it is a steak and not a fillet, but still. The sate consisted of large chunks of meat, heavily marinated, but not dry. The sate sauce and atjar were very good. Fries were great, salad and fruit compote nice. Overall a nice place to have an uncomplicated dinner, but the food can be improved.

Whenever you're in Leeuwarden, you'll have to eat at this restaurant. The price/quality is very good and the restaurant has an informal, beautiful setting where you get the feeling you're on vacation in Greece. The people at Rhodos Palace are very nice and spontaneous. Awesome restaurant!!!

The decor is farmhouse chic, very casual and cozy. We had the soup of the day, a chicken cream soup served with big chunks of homemade breads. I had cheese fondue, served with more wonderful bread and a variety of fresh veggies and fruits. My husband had what we would call a pot roast. With all entrees, they serve a salad, chunky French fries, and a veggie mix of peas, beans and asparagus in a mint sauce. Everything was top notch. I would go back here again!
