I came to this restaurant twice when holidaying in the area this July. First night with family and the second night with my beautiful girlfriend. Quite simply this place has exceptional food, which is well chosen and prepared. The service was friendly and efficient. The wines we had both nights were delicious. The front outside Terrace is a perfect venue to enjoy great food and company in a lovely surroundings. Highly recommended !

Cadre agreable et feutre specialite de viandes et une ardoise de suggestions qui change toutes les semaine en fonction du marche. Service tardif jusqu'a minuit
Excellent spot for lunch. We arrived quite late in the afternoon and were very pleased to be offered a table when other restaurants were closing up. On offer at that time were just salads or pizza which suited us perfectly. We opted for the Caesar salad and the Chèvre salad and both were absolutely delicious. Service was great and if we had been here longer we would have definitely returned for another meal.

We picked La Farigoulette from Tripadvisor based on reviews and pictures. Indeed the place is nice and situated along a quiet street. The menu appealed to us and we choose a bottle of white wine from the long list op options.
We loved the starter, tune in a green soup. It tasted and looked amazing so did the main course. Great meat with some veggies and jus. The cheese was somewhat disappointing, looked too much like supermarket brie with some truffle sprinkles, a little lack of inspiration i would say. The dessert looked nice, we had a chocolate cake in the shape of a clock. The taste was average and not spectacular like de starter or main. This would be ok at a certain price level but in our case it became overrated compared to other restaurants in the area.
Would we go again? Maybe.

First off, this place is well-situated on an alley in the centre of Le Lavandou, NOT as the TripAdvisor map has it, half a mile east, above St Clair on a similarly-named street. (We enjoyed the bracing walk!). We loved the welcome and the big high-ceilinged inside with huge wooden beams. Single fixed price menu €27.50 offered lots of choice and each course was beautifully presented. Our only gripe was the lack of flavour. Our pâté de fois gras, too cold, did not taste of anything and my steak in burgundy sauce needed something else to spice it up. Tarte fine (apple) with caramel ice cream was good, however. Overall a decent place but the cooking needs to be braver.

Maitre Restaurateur Depuis Le 02 Septembre 2013 Par Arrete Prefectoral
I love to be surprised.. And yes I did love the perfectly combined flavors Laurent proposes. While one would not bet a penny from the outside - a square anonymous short building - wait till you walk in... Lovely people, lovely Laurent which takes the time to personally welcome each guest and amazing food . If I had to choose one single word to describe Chez Laurent I would use "balance". All the ingredients are so perfectly balanced and blended with each other . Spices super fresh ingredients and Laurent creativity... Prices are absolutely appropriate and not too expensive. A ++++++ for me.

This place looks good from the outside with uniformed waiting staff and well laid tables. The prices are show clearly on the outside menu and our expectations were high. The food itself was good but there is no atmosphere in the restaurant and the staff appear uninterested. We had a starter and main course and felt that while it was nice, the food in the beach front restaurant a few yards away was of equal if not better quality and half the price. To command these prices the service and experience needed to be so much better.

Such a wonderful place to visit! The staff can speak some English and are extremely welcoming. Food is so wonderful and a real treat. Prices are very reasonable and is one of our favourite places to visit. If coming by boat, there is a taxi boat I pick you up if you don't fancy swimming to shore. A real bohemian beauty of a place.

We had lunch in this very pleasant restaurant opposite the beach. It was hot and we were looking for shade so we chose to eat inside. The restaurant was busy and there was a good atmosphere. Service was good and so was the food.It was good quality for money.

While staying at the excellent Le Petit Boheme Hotel nearby a reservation was made for us on the recommendation of the Patron. We were not disappointed. We had and excellent Soupe de Poisson and Salade de Chevre to start, followed by a sweet and flavoursome duck. The Deserts are good too. Nothing seems to be bought in. The kitchen is adjacent and the smell of food actually being cooked, rather than heated up, is a welcome sign. An inexpensive pichet of a very nice house white too. Mid priced menu of 22 euros. Even on a Thursday evening in early February it was busy with local custom - a good sign.

Normally I shy away from restaurants on the coastline, finding them lacking in quality and taste, probably due to high tourist demand. However, this restaurant was better than I expected. It wasn't a traditional french restaurant but more like a seafood restaurant with a touch of french cuisine. I enjoyed the fish but the foie gras as well. Wine selection is mostly limited to Provence as expected but overall a pleasant experience.
