Encore Bistro Francais was opened in March 2000 in Larchmont, NY. David Masliah, the owner of this cozy French Bistro, is originally from Lyon, France. He chose Larchmont because of the bustling downtown area and the absence of any French restaurants. Larchmont is also home to a very large French community. Encore offers a typical French Bistro Menu for both lunch and dinner. In May 2011 Encore expanded with the addition of a room that can accommodate up to 30 people for private events.
If looking for something differen, then this placenis right choice. Very french cuisine. Staff is cool, friendly and prompt. Testfull, well presented dishes. Fresh. Just one thing I would suggest.. decor... needs some touch up, other than that i recomend this jointThank you for the great review, we are glad that you are enjoying our restaurant. We do try to freshen up every now and then, with the last major renovation done a few years back when we expended. Thank you again. David.

AJ's is a collaboration of America's Favorite Foods served seven days a week serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. AJ makes everything in house using fresh ingredients and an orchestra of recipes. We serve pan sandwiches on our homemade bread; chicken, broccoli, rabe with provolone and hot cherry peppers is one of our most popular, beyond our burgers, sliders, chicken parmigiana and our delicous 12” thin crust pizzas!
We came to watch our grandson's football game at the high school and read up about AJ's for dinner after the game. Pleasantly surprised even better than reviews. Very friendly service. The boys enjoyed making their bread shapes. Food is fresh and delicious. Wonderful family...MoreThanks so much for coming in, and taking the time to write us a review. We really appreciate it!

Finally got a chance to try the famous Walter's. Enjoy the architecture of their 90-year old stand, and anticipate their centennial celebration in a couple of years--they have to be doing it right!
They split the dogs and toast the buns. I recommend a double with Walter's original mustard-relish. The sweet potato waffle fries are a great side.

Auray Gourmet is first and foremost a cheese shop, whose owners Ben and Karen are highly knowledgeable about their fare. They also offer cured meats, jams, crackers and all things that complement great cheese. And when they moved to their current location several years ago, they expanded to include their welcoming "Parisian" cafe, with indoor and outdoor seating. Nearly all of the menu items highlight cheese wherever possible, and their are many wonderful offerings. But don't overlook the waffles, which can be sinfully delicious (or just yummy if you don't go for the sinful toppings). Whether I've ordered sandwiches, egg dishes or waffles, I've never been disappointed. Nor will you be. When you go to Auray, be sure to say "Cheese," because you'll definitely be smiling by the time you are ready to leave.

If you like the old school pizza by the slice or by the pie, try Sal's. My first visit, the line was out the door but moved very quickly. Awesome pizza and a friendly staff make a visit to Sal's a pleasure.

We miss Croatia. We miss the smell of the sea, the fishing culture and the sounds of our mothers grilling whatever was freshly caught in the morning. We miss being in a land where football is played with feet. Despite the Croatian affinity for the sea, it's difficult for us to go home as much as we want to, so we did the next best thing, we brought our home to us and established Dubrovnik Restaurant. Since opening, our goal has been to make you love Croatia as much as we do. We are committed to bringing the best of Croatia to New Rochelle, even if just for a few hours. Dubrovnik features the best of Croatian cuisine, including succulent meat roasts, fresh grilled fish and a variety of other favorites. Our restaurant features both indoor and outdoor space, so you can feel as though you're on the inside of a ship or enjoying dinner on the beach. At its essence Dubrovnik isn't a restaurant, it's a portal to Croatia. Come experience Croatia, you won't need a passport this time.
One of the best fish restaurants in the NY metro. Happens to be close to where we live, but we have eaten in the best restaurants all around NYC Besides the warmth of the decor, the service is usually excellent. Food delicious and healthy!

I went to La Parisienne because I was on my way elsewhere, and that place was closed. I'm so glad I did because I've now discovered one of the best bakeries in the West Chester County area. This owner is an absolutely amazing baker. I got a smoked salmon quiche and it was so buttery and flakey. My mother got a pear tart which was perfectly baked. Not too sweet or thick with pastry. If you ever need to just run out and grab any baked good, make this your stop. Bare in mind it's got some tables and a few outside, but I wouldn't call it a restaurant. It's a bakery with a few tables. Just keep that in mind.

Vintage 1891 Kitchen is a creative New American Restaurant and Lounge in Larchmont Village, Westchester NY. Relax and renew in our beautifully renovated space and enjoy an exciting seasonal menu.
Four of us were there for dinner on a Thursday evening. Pluses included fast, attentive service; delicious tuna tartare apps and arrugala salad. Pan seared branzino was super delicious; mahi-mahi with a fig glaze was OK but much too sweet. Duck breast was good but a bit tough. Only negative was that it was crazy noisy -- really hard to hear. Perhaps more noisy than usual b/c of an event going on in the bar. A heavy curtain separates the bar from the restaurant, but it made only a minimal difference.

Still by far the best Italian restaurant in the region. And really Italian/Abruzzese (dishes just like we've enjoyed in Abruzzo) rather than Italian-American like 99.9% of 'Italian' restaurants in the US. Taste, texture, fragrance, variety -- all perfect. The place we always come when we're missing Italy. And always delighted with the experience.
