Located three hours south of Chiang Mai, the community of Lamphun is especially interesting to those intrigued by history. Founded more than 1,400 years ago, the town still has a beautiful temple and pagoda beautifully preserved from the past.

We went in on a week day night and ordered Sprite and 2 green curries: one chicken and one vegetarian. They brought a huge bottle of soda that was flat and they were not very nice when we told them about it, and then they brought us another (that was also flat). The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of one is that the curry had good flavor, but they brought me a pork one (I am a vegetarian and I made that clear in Thai).
On top of the fact that next to nothing was right about anything we asked for, there were an insane number of mosquitos. I have to hand it to them for bringing us insect repellant but that's about it. Won't be going back.

50 year ago our family opened the first restaurant in Lamphun, we wanted to share the finest taste of Northern Thai cuisine. Today, we have 3 restaurants located at (1) Ni Muang branch at Charoenrat Rd. Tambol Ni Muang, Lamphun (2) Doi Ti branch at Chiang Mai-Lampang Super Highway, Lamphun (3) Sompetch branch at Moon Muang Rd. (inside of the moat), Chiang Mai. Come join us for a memorable Northern Thai culinary experience. You are guaranteed to receive a warm welcome at any of our 3 restaurants. Hope to see you all soon.
A popular restaurant among locals. English menu with quality photos and descriptions and thai pronunciation. The quality of the food is excellent and the restaurant clean. Recommend the Laab Mu (northern style minced pork), Tom Chuet Mara (gourd stuffed with pork in clear broth), Yum...MoreThank you very much for your wonderful review. We're glad to hear that you had good dining experience here. We hope to welcome you back on your next visit to Lamphun.

I come here regularly. It's across the street from the post office. The coffee is good and at a good price. There's also many cakes and pastries you can buy. There are bookshelves full of manga/ comic books (all in Thai) and comfortable furniture.

This cafe is along the Highway 11 as you enter the town of Lamphun. It is at the base of the hill. The golden statue of the revered monk over looks the site. The temple Wat Doi Ti. There is a large parking lot. This cafe is modern and air conditioned. We had a couple of coffees and a piece of cake. It was excellent. It is great place to take a break from highway driving or visiting the temple on the hill.

Had an enjoyable meal here. They have Thai and Western Style Pizza plus fried food, western style salads for dinners. They are open 6 days per week for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner closed Monday. Really good for someone wanting a break from Thai meals whilst travelling. Light salads and really enjoyable
