Based on the beach this buffet styled restaurant screams of character, good food and a beautiful setting. Fresh food prepared constantly whilst enjoying the sitting...
Views .... breathtaking
Food.... plentiful and fresh
Atmosphere.... relaxed
Truly something to experience when out that side.
Tercias has juice. He welcomed us, introduced himself and before we knew it we were gathered around plating up fresh mussels, paella, calamari, various kinds of fish, fresh bread, oysters (at an extra cost which is well worth it) and the likes finished off with coffee and home made koeksisters.
Staff friendly and amazingly helpful.

Family style restaurant, located right in the heart of the harbor with a beautiful view of the local Bird Island right in front of you.Has been around for over twenty years. Wide variety menu ranging from seafood, sushi and pizzas to delicious curries, steaks and even something just for the kids. Come and experience true West Coast charm here with us!
We liked the atmosphere and we had a lovely waitress Marilyn who gets the point. The food was probably the worst we have ever had in a restaurant. My fish was over cooked and dried up to the extent that the flesh was black!, chips were greasy and soggy. My wife hade giant prawns that were so overdone they were shrivelled and inedible. Sit and enjoy the atmosphere but don’t eat

We attended a wedding here last weekend. The wedding service was conducted in a field on the premises. Afterwards, the reception took place in the open air restaurant, situated next to an impressive cliff. The buffet was extensive, consisting mainly of various seafood dishes and a variety of fish. A good time was had by all. However, one had to sit on a stool made out of a log, on top of which was a thin cushion and this proved to be a bit trying on one's posterior after a few hours. Although it had been a warm summer's day, it got pretty chilly as the night wore on. A very interesting experience and certainly a wedding with a difference.

This coffee shop was quite a surprise!! Their coffees are really good. They serve breakfasts and a variety of light meals. The staff is really friendly and service quite quick.
The shop has a few traditional west coast items for sale inside, I recommend having a look!

We were part of a group of 13 eating at the restaurant during a Harley Rally in Lamberts Bay and clearly the restaurant was overwhelmed by the numbers as the restaurant was full. Our waitress was a charming well-spoken local young lady who did her best to ensure that the table had an ample supply of drinks during the 2-hour wait for food. Once the food eventually arrived it was excellent and tasty. My recommendation is avoid the restaurant during busy times and if it is be prepared to wait. If you are patient the wait will be worth it!

THE MAD HATTER COFFEE CAFÉ was opened in March 2015 by Elsa & Annelie a sister team. As our name suggests we love the fun and quirkier side of life and pride ourselves on creating a warm, welcoming and relaxed environment for you to escape the everyday hustle and bustle. Our team offer excellent customer service and we look forward to extending a warm welcome to you whether you join us for breakfast, a light lunch or for a wonderful Afternoon Tea.
Drove past the restaurant on the main street and decor caught my eye. Although rating 3.5 on Tripadvisor I would definately give it a 5 rating. Food very good portions @ good prices. The most friendly staff. Well done and hope to see restaurant still open next time we're back from Aus. A diamond in the rough. No contest whom you should choose to eat and have coffee at when in Lambertsbaai.

I stumbled upon this place by chance during a solo surf Mission up the West Coast in April 2016. The owner of the Lambert's Bay Hotel gave me the contact information for a local surfer who could show me some of the areas better surf spots. That guy turned out to be a wild and wonderful man by the name of Cornell who also happened to be running Panorama Park. After a one-night stay at the Lambert's Bay Hotel (see review), I met Cornell for a morning surf at a secret spot (I couldn't believe how friendly and hospitable this guy is to show a complete strange one of the areas better surf spots). He then told me about Panorama Park and invited me follow him to the restaurant for a beer. I was blown away when we pulled up to a sprawling restaurant/golf course/caravan park/I don't know what else to call it. The restaurant is a large bar/music venue with huge outdoor patio (and braai, or course). The grounds include some livestock, several camp/caravan areas with showers and toilets tucked into sheltered rocks, what could pass as a golf course, a small pond and several jeep trails. This is a wild place with massive potential and I wish Cornell all the best. For some, it may not be an ideal place for an overnight, but it's worthwhile to stop in for lunch or some live music. For the more adventurous, I highly recommend this place for a bachelor's weekend or as a base camp for a surf Mission up to Eland's or Lambert's Bay. This place is one of a kind.

Steenboksfontein has great coffee and also some place to stay and space for camping on the West Coast of South Africa. Also some great artwork to buy in an area that is sparsely populated!
