My first visit and during a business lunch. Make a reservation, it gets filled up in a hurry. Very attentive staff and elegant setting with nice table cloths and table setting. Three of us had the trout which was very good and a good portion and set over some wilted greens as if it were a salad topper. Seemed lonely. Another had the burger and fries which he thoroughly enjoyed and the other had a salad which was applauded by him. All in all a very nice lunch meal. A bit pricey for my kind of lunch but I did not pick the place. You'll be very happy here with the service and food. Four star rating only because of the value.

Visiting from DFW area where I go to breakfast once per week with several other retired friends - two of us been doing so for 4 years all over Dallas/Fort Worth area. A breakfast guru you might say. Now I also try breakfast places in Denver with my Denver daughters retired father-in-law when visiting 3-4 times per year.
Went to Ruperts at the Edge during week and sat inside. I had stuffed breakfast poblanos and added biscuits. Friend had breakfast burrito. My breakfast was excellent in all respects save for the poblano itself - I absolutely love chiles of all type and consider myself quite knowledgeable on Chile rellenos, stuffed poblano, Hatch chiles.....even been to Hatch Festival). The poblano at Ruperts simply did not seem roasted and was lacking in the typical bold flavor. The pepper also seemed far too firm - perhaps undercooked or even raw. Repeat - all other aspects of my breakfast (eggs, sauce, biscuits...) all very good. And my friend enjoyed his burrito with a lovely roasted pork inside. I sampled his burrito and agreed it was above average. Biscuits are heavenly. Service excellent and ambiance good. Prices perhaps a tad high but in light of menu variety, quality and service, I am okay with pricing. I would try Ruperts again. Would have rated a 4(out of 5) if not for the poblano pepper issue. Parking can be a challenge.

We do enjoy this restaurant, but we were just slightly disappointed this time.
First, the man who seated us was not very friendly or welcoming.
Second, I was highly disappointed with my "classic" Eggs Benedict. (I am writing this review mainly to warn others that it this is NOT a classic Eggs Benedict in that the English muffin was some kind of rye/pumpernickel -- I think that is what is was anyway -- and I definitely did not like that.) However, it was cooked perfectly, as has been all the food we have tried so far. My husband's corned beef and eggs were cooked exactly to his liking.
Oh, and just one other small suggestion -- the fruit cup was very good, but it would have been better to either peel the orange or use a different kind of fruit.
And our waitress was very friendly and efficient (although we did have to wait about five minutes for her to ask if we wanted any kind of beverage besides water), and the coffee, as before, was the BEST coffee we have ever had in any restaurant.
Just PLEASE either clarify on the menu what kind of English muffins are used or else use the plain or sourdough kind!

Reservations easy to make, the fish was so delightful and fresh, I am coming back here again. I'd say the best sushi place in Denver! Definitely plan to make a trip here if you're looking for some unforgettable sushi.

Wow, just searched online and discovered this excellent Italiano ristorante. Having lived in Italy, Jordano’s exceeded my expectations. It’ll be our top restaurant in the Denver metropolitan. From the bread to salad to sauces to meats and pasta we can’t speak more highly. My wife had lasagna, I had seafood Linguine, and we were drooling on how excellent they tasted. We highly recommend, but remember to expect a wait. The trick is get your name on list for a seat, then see if bar seating is open. We prefer to eat in the bar as a couple. Oh yeah, awesome wine selection, and full bar.

We had a great variety of wonderful food! We started with truffle tots and fried Brussels sprouts! Fantastic! We also had fish and chips, burgers, fresh chips, meat loaf and mashed potatoes! Being a taproom, they have a large selection of beer! The was a live performance with no cover charge! Great evening!

Our server was great, she helped us with menu choices, kept drinks full, and offered food timing updates, but we waited almost an hour for our meal (should have rated the restaurant a 2, but see below). Which means our order was lost, or the chef screwed something up, and our server was lied to, putting her in a bad position. People all around us who came in after us were getting served, and all we ordered was steak with side of grilled shrimp, side of noodles and potatoes side. At one point, we again asked our server about our food, and when she came back was told the pasta side dish was holding up our meal, but it was still 15 minutes before food arrived. I was seconds from walking out, when the manager delivered our food, apologized and said our meal was on the house. That was classy and the way it should operate when a mistake was made, so we upped the rating to a 3 (by the way, we left the server a hefty tip, more than 20%) for her efforts.
Another goofy item, the bar had a wall of cushion seating, and then tall tables and chairs, so whoever sat in the tall chair towered over the other person, whose chin was almost at table level, very discombobulated, and must be fixed.
There is no way this restaurant deserves the high ratings it has, even though our food was good, it was over priced.
As world travelers about 80 to 120 days a year, after over a week here in Denver west end (and I’ve lived here in the past), we’re finding that many of the higher rated venues in Denver area are really poor, while several low rated venues were actually quite exceptional. This is our first steakhouse try in the area, and it’ll be quite a while before we attempt any others rated so high or any chains, and instead we’ll be trying locally operated mom pop type of venues instead.
Next visit, we’ll return to our downtown restaurant favorites before many of those out here.

Root Down aims to connect the neighborhood to a dining experience in the same way ingredients are connected to food. There should be a seamless bond between the elements and experience, which stimulates the senses and draws people in. Root Down serves “globally influenced seasonal cuisine,” which basically means we go where inspiration leads us. We’re not tied to one style or genre—we’re hoping to create one of our own. At Root Down we pride ourselves on striving to solve the ‘Omnivore’s Dilemma.’ We have created a dining spot where all dietary needs will be accommodated, including vegetarian, vegan, raw and gluten free; also allergies or intolerances are always handled professionally by the kitchen team. Our menu has icons reflecting this philosophy, though we always request you notify your server of specific needs. We look forward to seeing you soon!
We decided on sharing small plates between three diners, one of whom had a minor food allergy and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that anything we ordered would not be an issue.
Everything was delicious, from salads to desserts, but our favorite was the Devils on Horseback, bacon wrapped almonds with a Gournay cheese fondue sauce. So delectable that we ordered a second one after we were done eating everything else! Our server was very conscientious and would note things like a dish that only had five pieces, asking if we wanted a sixth so that everything was even. Good thing we always said yes.
Interesting and varied craft cocktail list, all of which were very good.
Loved the old car garage and repurposed ambiance. We were fortunate to be seated in the little side room right behind the hostess stand, so it wasn't too crazy or noisy. Very enjoyable evening.

Yard House is an upscale-casual eatery known for great food, classic rock music and 130 taps of imported, craft and specialty ales & lagers. Whether you’re in the mood for a grilled burger and a pint of your favorite ale, or seared ahi and a chilled martini, Yard House has something for everyone. Yard House is the perfect place to unwind and take a break - meet old friends for happy hour, or make new ones, celebrate a special occasion, or gather your family for dinner.
From the minute in the door, friendly hostess asked our preferences, to being seated, to being welcomed with nice chit chat and explanations from the by far best wait staff in the entire metropolitan Denver area -Brett, to the nice happy hour half price appetizers (we made three a meal and that was too much food) to the 100+ taps. Appetizer prices about $10 each, but almost a meal in themselves. The new renovation after the 2017 storms is stupendous. While it’s modern, the service and food are old school in quality and presentation. We had sliders, which was a large burger cut in 4ths much larger slider than anywhere else in area, Wisconsin fried mozzarella cheese that was so soft and delicious were going to tell our Wisconsin pubs and restaurants to change their recipes, and Calamari was mix of rings and tails. Loved it, but the waiter Brett spent much time visiting with us. Some reviews said over priced, but not for the service and food, it was reasonable. Thanks much!
