They have gluten free menu which one friend needs. Excellent choices on that menu as well as regular menu. Choices ranged from pastas to seafood to sandwiches, salads and soups. Have alcoholic and non alcoholic. Service excellent.

Our original Porterhouse opened in Little Canada, MN in 2001 and still thrives today. The Lakeville location opened it's doors in 2007 and has continued the strong tradition of serving great steaks and classic cocktails in a warm friendly environment. We appreciate our loyal patrons who have supported us over the years.
Enjoyed dinner with friends at Porterhouse recently. We started with yummy spinach artichoke dip. Very yummy! Next we had Caesar salads and French onion soup! The soup was great!! Two of had filets which were melt in your mouth tender. One had the ginormous porterhouse and the other had the special Alaskan halibut. Everything was delicious! Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive!

Have only tried the lunch and coffee menu. All the sandwiches, wraps and salads have been very good!

Food came quickly after we ordered. It tasted okay, I’ve had better Chinese food and worse. The portions were so generous that all four of us took leftovers home. Atmosphere is your typical strip mall suburban restaurant with pretty plain furnishings and some wall decorations in line with the theme of the restaurant. Oh, nice owners too!

"In a home, the kitchen is the spot where families gather, parties migrate, and food draws friends around. That's also the spirit of Vivo kitchen: we are a place to come as you are. We use local, seasonal ingredients to prepare food that's delicious without being mysterious. Vivo translates as "life" - and that is what we want every guest to experience to the fullest. We look you in the eyes, care for you personally, and make you feel as welcome as if you are in our home. Because, for us, a kitchen is the heart of a home - and great hospitality is the heartbeat."
Came here for dinner as it was rated #1 in Apple Valley, so what could go wrong? The drinks were pretty good, but the food was terrible. One entree was overly salted and the other had no flavor at all. Server was friendly but hardly seen throughout the night. Waited for 20 minutes after getting our drinks to be able to order as she wasn't seen for that long and it wasn't even busy.
Not sure how this place is #1, but wouldn't come back.

The staff here is always genuine and welcoming. Love the positive energy! In reality, you can get a cup of coffee anywhere. There is something special about a management team and staff that works a little harder to make it enjoyable!

We went here for lunch on the recommendation of our sister. It was very good. We had great service. Be aware that there will be lots of families there with small children so the atmosphere is more "homey" . All our meals were good and the folks that had the beer said it was good.

The staff was very friendly and just the right amount of attentive. I ordered the grilled salmon salad...salad was good, everything was very fresh, but the salmon filet was a bit overdone and dry, not moist at all. My son had the patty melt which he said was good but not great, same with his friend who had a burger. The nice thing is the bread and buns appeared to be homemade which adds a lot. Hubby had the Rueben soup...which he said was good, but very rich. All in all we would definitely go there again and give it another try.

Everybody loves this restaurant, but I had a bad experience. I ordered taco salad and the bottom was all watery, like they hadn't drained the lettuce properly. I can get a better one at Taco Bell. My husband liked his enchilada.
