We had a delicious meal here last week! The server was classy and friendly, allowing us to finish each course before bringing the next one. All of the food was seasoned to perfection and tasty. Our choices were: Jumbo Lump Crab and Corn Fritter and French Mushroom Soup for appetizers and then we split the Seafood Platter. It wasn’t a huge serving, but was plenty for both of us. And all were delicious! For dessert, we shared the warm Bread Pudding. Be sure you eat some of their bread. So good with the basil butter! The wine selection was very good and reasonably priced, too.
So sorry we didn’t discovered this place until now! We will return.

For over 25 years, Monument Inn has been your destination to share family traditions and special occasions with great food and a great atmosphere! Specializing in fresh Gulf Coast seafood, we've become one of Houston's most popular restaurants. In fact, we serve about 80,000 pounds of shrimp and almost 25,000 pounds of catfish, crawfish, and fresh fish every year! If you're in the mood for something fresh from the water, check out our popular Fisherman's Platter with its shrimp, oysters, catfish, stuffed shrimp, and stuffed crab. But guests also love our wide array of pastas, beef, and chicken dishes. And be sure to top it all off with a drink from our full bar! Whether it's business luncheons, meeting with friends, or special occasions, thank you for making Monument Inn your place to make memories!
I had not been to this restaurant for at least 3 decades. Then it was known as the San Jacinto Inn, and as I recall, it was an "all you can eat" situation. I thoroughly enjoyed my overdue return! I had fried shrimp, and my...MoreIt was a pleasure welcoming you back after all those years, Woody. It's great you, your wife, and your brother enjoyed our shrimp. At Southern Komfort Kitchen, in La Porte, TX, we prepare food from scratch -- like Grandma used to make. Southern American food done the old-fashioned way.
Very good chicken fried steak (with milk gravy - don't order the brown gravy and ruin it). Loved the sweet potato with cinnamon, great beans like Grandma used to make, and tasty cranberry biscuits. Disappointed in the peach cobbler, but everything else was yummy. Interesting murals and taxidermy. Friendly waitress. With iced tea all came to $37 for two.

Gringo’s Mexican Kitchen is a family of full-service Mexican restaurants in the Houston area. All restaurants serve the highest quality Mexican food, offer a full bar and are open daily Sunday through Saturday for lunch and dinner. The Gringo’s brand identity is stamped with superior quality products combined with excellent value.
This is one of the Houston areas best Mexican restaurants where locals dine out. When I am traveling, I try to find restaurants off the beaten path. Food is great and prices are reasonable. I give Gringo's gift cards to my parents so they can go anytime, wothout worry about their budget.

This is a local favorite since the early 1960's. Not only attracting the locals but many from surrounding cities as well. A favorite destination for vacationers for dine in, pick up, or drop off caterings. We start with the freshest of ingredients, provide excellent service, and it is our goal to exceed our guests expectations. We have a variety of menu choices from traditional Tex-Mex, American, Seafood, Steaks, and Hamburgers. Come in and find out why we are always the best choice in the surrounding areas. We look forward to serving you.
One of our favorite hidden spots! Their table side guacamole is the best. Other favorite dishes include the baja tacos (both fish and shrimp) the fajitas, the black beans, seafood enchiladas. The shrimp and mango salad, Santa Fe Caesar salad and ceviche are great if you want something lighter. Favorite drink hands down is the super fruit margarita...must try for sure.

This was an amazing lunch that was more than I expected. The freshness and flavor was off the chart. As a first time visitor had a sampler platter with red fish, shrimp and scallops. The crab sauce we had on the side could have passed as crab chowder in the NorthEast!!

Hubby and I went for an early dinner and sat at the bar. Our bartender Stephanie was very attentive and the service was wonderful. It was the changing of shifts so a couple of other bartenders were just coming on. All were friendly and very polite.
Hubby had the chicken fried steak and it was huge, I had the sliders and onion rings (very good) and fries. We really enjoyed it and the atmosphere. Will be back.
