This restaurant is directly on the beach in Rincon de Guayabitos, just a 10 minute walk from the Decameron Los Cocos resort. Salvador works at the Decameron as a tour promoter and his Father owns the restaurant. Tuesdays is all you can eat shrimp, of different flavours and coatings, with sides and a drink (or two) and with live band from 6 to 9. The cost is 360 pesos around $26 Canadian, and you can pre-order lobster if you prefer for the same price. Well worth the visit.

We really enjoyed our late lunch here! It's very close to our hotel, so we wandered down the beach to eat. The waiter was super friendly and spoke very good English! The lemonade was great! I had pescado de shopping and mom had guacamole and the food was great! Reasonable price for the best meal we had all week!

Pina Colada Restaurant is a bit off of the beaten path, but, sure worth exploring. Their food and drinks are very good, especially their mango margaritas. If you order the chicken or beef fajitas it is easily a meal for two persons. Excellent onion soup as well. Our server was very polite and attentive and made the dining experience above average.

Breathe taking view. It has the European restaurant feel. The food is a bit pricy than other restaurant in Guayabitos, but its is still reasonable to the North American standards. Food is rich and have beautiful presentations. One waiter was a bit different, he used the "F" word few times, he just thought he is funny. But we didn't think he knew that he understood when or where to use it, it was a bit silly.

Been to El Pollito many times and was always very good. Shrimp or chicken fajita are excellent and plenty to eat that you can share. Really enjoyed the liver and onions as well as the shrimp burgers. Actually, everything we have had there was excellent. Our favorite waiter is Luis. Speaks not bad English and I traded watches with him until we left La Penita.
If you go there, you won't be disappointed.
We even sit in front of El Pollito during the parades having a cerveza.

Whenever we visit this area, we visit Hinde Y Jamie for the margaritas and the shrimp tacos. Jorge, an excellent bartender makes the BEST margarita that I've ever tasted. There is enough Tequila to give a pleasant glow without that rude rude harsh flavour so common in other places. The shrimp tacos never change, they are always prepared fresh and served piping hot! I love the atmosphere of this little bar. It feels like a little hideaway in a quaint Mexican town.... Wait a minute. It is! So refreshing from some of the high end places springing up all over the area. See you next year. Hasta luego!

Fun and friendly. Some nights it is very busy - seems like when they have specials like all-you-can-eat ribs, etc. Other nights very quiet. We found the food good and we especially liked the spicy salsas that came with the dishes. More flavor than other typical Mexican meals.
