For me, one of teh most enjoyable fish restaurants on teh coast of Uruguay. Especially recommend the rabas (squid rings which are the best I have tried in Uruguay hands down) and the Peixerey (deep fried filets of fish). Sit on Terrace if possible with a cold beer in an ice bucket. Fresh fish will depend on the weather 8as they do not fish in high seas or on Sundays normally).

Recommended as one of the best places in town it was a bit of a disappointment. Although we were seated very quickly the food took forever to arrive. The menu was a bit limited, drinks were okay, nothing much for vegetarians, salads were very basic and Deserts unmemorable.

La Pe it's a restaurant placed in the centre of La Pedrera were you can eat shrimp, fish, sea food, paella and pasta. It also serves breakfast. It has a place special for kids and a beautiful garden, with the most delicious food.
We stayed under a tree and had dinner there. Food was good, I had mussels, good local wine list, fair price. It's always good to have a meal under the stars and trees.

This is a small, very good restaurant in La Pdrera. The food is very good - i had one of my best salmon carpachios ever - and I have had some! The restaurant has a location on the edge of the seafront with a fantastic view. It has only ca 12 tables - very intimate. It is a "cool" place run by young people. Google "Perillan, Uruguay" and you will get to their web site. Best regards Thomas
We had a very good meal and the service was very friendly. We were out of hours so we had the place to ourselves. it was too windy to sit outside so we had an inside table overlooking the ocean. They saved us some money explaining to us how to get to the ombues without paying the high tour fees. We also went to the Lakes which are great.

We were at Dani's place one beautiful night at Cabo Polonio, Rocha, Uruguay. El Polonio was one of the point of interests we visited with our co-parents-in-law in our two weeks trip to Uruguay (last week of March and first of April 2014). We had dinner trying "chivitos al plato" and fish and "flan with dulce de leche" as a desert. The size and taste of dishes was excellent; the service and attention superb considering the isolation of this wonderful place. We also enjoyed the conversation with Dani about the people at Polonio and their concerns on the environment. Next day at noon we asked Dani for fish milanesa to go for our trip to Punta del Este; other delicatessen. We were joking comparing that amazing food with the McFish filet. If you are going to Polonio, stop at Dani's: you will not be repented of.

This is a must visit place if you enjoy quality food in a relaxed, cozy beach atmosphere, and of course expect good value for your money.
Dishes are clever, tasty, fresh and well presented in an attractive manner. Size of servings is generous as well.
Local typical ingredients are found with an interesting and contemporary twist.
Drinks are also very well made and fresh.
You can take a dip in the swimming pool during your stay at the restaurant, so it makes it a different, appealing option for warm weather and particularly during the daytime (note that the pool cannot be used between 14:00 to 16:00, so that the hotel guests facing the pool can have a quite rest).
Deserts are also worth trying.
Facilities are in the open air, under a neat typical Straw and log roof structure, facing the garden and swimming pool, so I would recommend your visiting the place in fine weather and avoid wet or cool days.
All in all, I think it´s the best restaurant you can find nowadays in La Paloma.

This is without doubt the best place to eat in La Paloma. It's small, with only a few tables, but the food is great, and interesting, and the service personal. It's run by a family who understand food, and it's nice to see such an...MoreThank you very much for your review, its help us to improve and also as a motivation factor. Best regards Sebastián

Across from the shore, plenty of tables. It can get quite windy but the staff graciously offers blankets. Great spot for afternoon tea or drinks with assorted accompaniments sweet and not sweet. The music could use an upgrade but it's nevertheless pleasant.

Old house set as a restaurant, a young couple runs it, the menu ranges from oven pizza to some excellent crepes, we had both.
