Great discovery.... this Restaurant is incredibly close to my favorite beach on the Cote Sauvage. Easy parking, easy access to beach and great food!!
We had a delicious home made soupe de poisson and excellent oysters to start followed by a divine fricassée of scallops in a champagne sauce, one garnished with crunchy (rare in France) seasonal vegetables and the other with a mushroom risotto.
We ended with a lemon sorbet and vodka delight and the most fabulous Moelleux au citron which just oozed out perfectly. All truly delicious and beautifully presented.
We also found a great Charentais white wine from Segonzac... very impressive.
Really looking forward to coming back again and don't hesitate to recommend.
It's a little bit pricey but worth it

From the outside it doesn't look inviting, that might seem snobbish but sadly it's how my family felt as we parked outside. But with little other choice and good TA reviews were ventured inside. The place was packed which was a good sign and the plates we could see looked excellent. We all had seafood dishes, even the children, and they were all excellently cooked and presented, plus they were very big portions. Service too was quick and friendly which is great when you have two little children to entertain. Starters through to desserts were brilliant, drinks menu possibly the one drawback.

Restaurant Du Golf De La Palmyre Sur La Commune Des Mathes
I played this 9 hole course several times during my vacation. Watch out ... The course is challenging. The fairways are very narrow and the greens are difficult to manage. If you play from the back tees, it may be difficult to shoot your handicap !
The people working at the reception are extremely friendly and professional.
The club house is modern and comfortable.
Holes 6, 7,8 and 9 offer a nice view on the ocean when you play them from the back tees.

We have now been three times and of each time we were well looked after by the staff. The food is first class and at a very modest price. If you do visit la palmyre this place is a must. May I say this is not a flash in the pan,it was the same two years ago.

We have visited this restaurant 3 times in the last fortnight and a number of other times in the past 3 years. On each occasion the service has been faultless. The Maitre D' has been consistently courteous and helpful. His English is impeccable. The range of food will satisfy both meat and fish eaters. Families are particularly well catered for. This is due in no small part to the fact that the restaurant itself is a completely family run operation. The Maitre D's mother is the chef. What we noticed this year was an upping of the game as regards their fish and shellfish dishes. If you intend to eat here you should ask about the fish of the day. This is a mainstream restaurant which places a premium on good tasting food at reasonable prices. This applies equally for lunch and dinner. In my view the current rating (July 2014) underestimates the standard of the product-offering here.

We stopped here for lunch after a busy morning of activities. The waitress seated us at an unlaid table and then ignored us for 15 minutes. We should have left but we're thirsty and hungry and since she'd started telling other arrivals they were closed didnt want to risk not being able to get a table elsewhere
When we did get noticed again, she was more interested in laying the table than giving us menus or offering drinks. The food was OK, nothing special, but since it was slammed on the table when it arrived, it kind of put us off.
The resident giant hornet didn't help either.

Excellent laid back restaurant in centre of La Palmyre serving fantastic authentic galettes, pizzas, salads and crepes, kids menu too, very reasonably priced. Food was perfect and friendly, english speaking staff. This was the third year running we have eaten here and we make a point of coming back every year.

Really nice food, great staff, good for adults or for adults with older children who know what they like and can appreciate good food. Would definitely return.
