This property, located on Laguna de Apoyo is a hostel and restaurant with access to the lake. We enjoyed a buffet lunch in the restaurant, smoothies, diving into the lake from a couple of high porch like structures, kayaking, swings, hiking trails with monkeys high in the trees and an overall great day here. We did not stay at the hostel but the accommodations here are budget friendly, with small cabin like structures renting for $75. per day. Very nice, clean facility with friendly employees. The walk down to the property is full of steps and is quite steep, making the walk up a little daunting for those not in the best shape, But all in all, we enjoyed a perfect day here which will be a lasting memory in years to come.

Hidden behind decorative metal screens, el Garaje is a clean, organized cafe with 6 tables and an open kitchen. Specials are written on chalkboards on the wall. Pork seasoned quesadilla with tomatillo and jalapeño salsa (180 Córdobas). Vegetarian options available. Wait staff speaks English. Pricing is affordable. Definitely worth it.

We visited this awesome cafe today and exactly two years ago. Well, I’m pleased to report that the Garden Cafe continues to be amazing. The service was great, the food outstanding, and the cafe lattes the best in Granada. Consistently, Garden Cafe just gets it right. Our favourite cafe on the planet.

I've passed by this place several times over the last 8 years when visiting Nicaragua but it was just last week that I stopped in. I had the Caribbean salad and was amazed! It was absolutely delicious!!! In addition to the great salad, the service was excellent as well! Cafe du Parc will definitely be a regular stop for me in the future.
I was also surprised that the prices were moderate too.

Cafe of Smiles is staffed by deaf staff
In the heat and bustle of Granada is a peaceful courtyard, where quiet reigns.
There is a reason for this - this social Enterprise is staffed by Nicaraguans who are deaf mute.
You go in, point to what you want on the menu, customise your order by pointing to signs (coffee con leche?) and then sit back and relax.
The menu is basic but that’s not really the reason to go. There is a sign language guide for the brave and when I was there, a very proficient signer came in and a conversation started which was amazing to see.
Go, take five minutes to find some calm and do some good at the same time.

The coffee was not very good. The first time I visited, the internet service was not working. I returned yesterday and the internet service was working so they did listen to our complaints! The best cafe is Las Flores, but there is no entry for them to be rated. Their pastries are amazing!

Actually three restaurants on the premises now. This one serves lunch and dinner while there is a separate breakfast restaurant and a pizzeria with a wood fired pizza oven. Did not try the pizza on a recent six day stay at the villas that make up the affiliated resort but the other two restaurants were solid. Neither was exceptional but both had good selections and I did not have anything that was poorly prepared over all of those meals. The soups are very good, the fish was nicely prepared. Some really good oatmeal and some exotic smoothy choices. When you think of eating in the crater of an extinct volcano 15 minutes from the closest town, their food is actually pretty impressive.

We are vegetarians, and we had 6 meals here. Pancakes.m were very good- thick and fluffy, Desayuno Nica was outstanding- eggs really scrambled perfectly, which isn’t easy, Desayuno Tropical was good- a little more granola than the yogurt could handle, but too much of a good thing... well?
For lunch, quesadillas were nice, salsa fresca is delightful, and veggie brochettes were excellent. Excellent! Add some beans to the veggie brochette order. Veggie fajitas were really nice for dinner. Go easy on the chopped mint if you order a mojito!

This place is an experience and right in the park. The host will help you decided on the right fruit smoothie and guide you to what is fresh to eat. Can't beat the cerviche, even in the rain!

Modern environment in a neoclassical property constructed in 1886. We've forged a relationship with Nicaragua's best coffee producers to provide you with an excellent cup. High altitude, shade grown boutique crops yield coffees with a crisp and balanced acidity, roundness, sweetness and rich chocolate-like brews. These farmers know what they do. The poetry is ever intended at Espressonista. On your table we serve local, slightly smoked ham. The brie, the camembert and manchego are also from Masatepe and Matagalpa. Organic lettuce, baby asparagus and other greens from Ticuantepe. Chez nous, we know where everything comes from. We bake our own pastries and breads, make our own ice creams, brew our own beer. We love food, drink and good company. Join us!
We walked in here looking for a place for lunch. Immediately we fell in love with the interior (and the bunny rabbits that hop around the inner garden)!
The staff was friendly and the food was very good. The downside: is it very expensive for what you get. We paid 50 US dollars for 1 starter, 1 cheese platter, 2 glasses of wine (that weren’t that nice), 2 desserts and 1 cappuccino.
