Kyōtango is a city located in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. The modern city of Kyōtango was established on April 1, 2004, from the merger of the towns of Mineyama and Omiya, the towns of Amino, Tango, and Yasaka, and the town of Kumihama.

碇高原牧場の横にあり、牧場の雄大な景色を見ながらステーキが食べられる。
京都府の牧場内にあるレストラン。近くの小山の上の展望台からは、海が臨める絶景です。牧場内には、ヤギや、ポニーとふれあえる広場もあります。ステーキとハンバーランチを注文。高いのですが、不便な場所がら仕方なくも思います。開放感のあるレストランでした。

北近畿タンゴ鉄道宮津線甲山駅から徒歩14分のところにあるミルク工房。牧場で牛を飼っていて、牧場見学もできる。ソフトクリームが濃厚で美味しい!ジェラートも種類豊富で「甘夏」、「スイカ」、「和梨」、「西洋梨」、「かぼちゃ」など季節のものや「ブルーベリー」、「クリームチーズ」、「カフェオレ」「チョコミント」などが口どけなめらかで素晴らしい美味しさ。シングル360円、ダブル480円、トリプル600円、ワッフルコーン50円。土日祝は「石窯ピッツァ」がワインと供に頂ける

When suggested by my Japanese relatives that we could visit somewhere in regional Kyotango-shi for a "nice pasta", I was very skeptical. My personal opinion is that Japanese mimicking western or European food doesn't usually end in very good results in the regional areas of Japan. However I have been pleasantly surprised before so I thought I'd grit my teeth and go along and see how bad it compares to the real thing.
Well, I'll eat my words (or thoughts). I ordered the seafood paste with a tomato base sauce, and I can honestly say this was one of the finest seafood marinara pasta's I have ever had - period. And I've had some spectacular dishes from a plethora of fine dining Italian restaurants around Australia in my time. The sauce was complex & rich but not overpowering, and there was a generous amount of lovely and eclectic seafood in the dish, with the pasta cooked perfect al-dente. It really was a stand out dish that blew me away.
The Paella my relative ordered looked equally spectacular, a dish worthy of being photographed for any popular foodie magazine, the last available dish of a small limited quota they make available each day apparently.
I highly recommend this little hidden gem for anyone visiting or passing through Kyotango. It's quite hidden and can easily mistaken for a simple house along this road, so don't blink as you pass or you'll miss it!

I ate here twice during my recent trip to Kyotango. The restaurant has menus in both Japanese and English which is helpful. Both dishes that I got were very good, both were pasta dishes, one with clams in a clear sauce and one was a bolognese sauce. I highly recommend the garlic bread which was delicious!

丹後半島のスイス村近くにあるお蕎麦屋さん。アクセスに難がありますが、訪れる価値はあります。新そばの季節には早かったのですが、香りが良く好みの細打ちでした。また地鶏の焼き物も鳥の地味を感じられる一品でした。使われている器や部屋の設えも良く、趣味の良さを感じさせます。機会があればまた訪問したいです。
