Bryggekanten has good quality food and service and is one of the most popular restaurants in Kristiansund. Always use fresh ingredients means taking good care of the ingredients and with pride prepare fresh fish, shellfish, vegetables and meat on the responsible way we think food should be cooked. Large focus on local food. The brasserie has eating places for 85 guests, a bar and a large, pleasant Terrace with light and heat. Great location by the harbour, a large variety of food and drinks and cozy atmosphere. All rights reserved. Open every day except Sunday from 1130-2400. Bar open until 0200 friday and saturday.
Enjoyed a wonderful meal with my wife in this fantastic setting looking across the harbour.
Menu is small but that just means everything is fresh and fantastic. Love the use of local products (especially the seafood).
After the meal we did not want to leave the view and the atmosphere was that good.

Tasty norwegian food. Kozy and historical atmosphere.
The selection of mainly fish dishes is small but typical and inviting. Excellent fish soup and baked cod, whike the stemed salmon was a bit less tasty. Non fish lovers have a couple of meat options, but this is no place for vegetarians. Good local beer and ample selection of Italian, French, Spanish etc. wines (which we would not dream of drinking in these countries). Not too friendly but competent service. Very lovely location in a historic building, a former blacksmith's. A short walk from the town centre. One of the few acceptable restaurants open on a Sunday in Kristiansund. Rather expensive, but it's like this in Norway.

Try our FISHAN - fish and chips, a tasty experience that whets your appetite for more. You won't find anything better in Norway.
The place was very nice, little and traditional! It has a pair of little tables in the internal area and some external tables. It offers fish and chips (take away too) , but in my opinion it's not so good as I found in other places in Norway (gerainger and alesund) that serves a more clear product (maybe the oil is better there). The fish and chip special version has some good potatoes purea cream. Friendly service!

We had a great evening in the restaurant and the food was really enjoyable also. The restaurant was busier than expected and so they had understaffed but they did a fantastic job of coping with the peak of demand. We loved our visit and would recommend this to anyone who visits the town.

Excellent restaurant, they have a good choice of food, Norwegian cuisine, you eat good fish with also good portions, the service is really good, waitresses are friendly and nice, prices are normal for Norway.
It is located in the very centre of Kristiansund, not far from the main piers.

Hidden away along the keyside, this great little take away-or eat in,is definitely worth a visit if your in Kristiansund.Run entirely by thai women ,the food is authentic and very tasty always freshly made with the added bonus of large portions at a moderate price I would highly recommend if you want something different from non tasting meat-balls and fish pudding.

For more than 60 years, Nordmorskafeen AS has served home-made food based on local traditions and our delicious bacalao has received many prizes. The view over the harbour is fantastic. Traditional cafeteria. Catering: open sandwiches, cold buffet, hot dishes - we can help out with most things. Seating capacity: 120
Very traditional place in Kristiansund where you can eat local food at reasonable prices. Charming 70´s kind of interior. It has existed for over one hundred years. It was rebuilt after the bombing during WW2. Good food. Social anthropologically interesting. Lot´s of fur and heavy stench of Chanel No 5. But the food is good. Location is near the water front. Well worth a visit if you like design from the 70´s. Extremely large portions of food for a good price.

The Thon Hotel`s restaurant is situated in the old town, Innlandet, with beautiful view over the ocean. Serves local specialities and also a la carte and lunch. Good selection of dishes. Outdoorserving in summertime in idylic surroundings.
The restaurant is on the ground floor, with a nice view of Kristiansund harbour. The food was good quality, but a bit pricy, as most Norwegian restaurants are. Can be recomended!
