We have lived in Goes for a couple of years now and this is one of the few restaurants in the neighbourhood we keep on visiting. Fantastic, honest food and constant quality. No nonsense, but still subtle. Good and straightforward service. Always good fish and some vegetarian options as well. According to my partner, the meat dishes are also great.

At this place, you get good value for money. Simple but tasty dishes at low prices.
It is not open until very late. It is called 'the lunch cafe', which is an indication that they focus on lunch type dishes.
The lunch plate of eggs with loads of mushrooms is very nice.

Really nice clean restaurant with a good ambience. Food was lovely. I had the Mussels (which was a massive portion) and fries, which can with a couple of lovely dips and a nice side salad. The mussels were perfectly cooked, really tasty and tender. The kitchen is visable from the dining area which I think is always nice, you can see what is going on. The chef was constantly tasting the food he was cooking, which is also nice to see. Staff were very friendly. A little bit pricey but worth it in my opinion.

I went here with friends on Valentines day to listen to Raymond and Sander, the music was excellent as was the food and beverage, the staff are very attentive and friendly.
I had a good time chatting and mixing with the local customers and I am very much looking forward to a return visit, I would recommend that you try here.

De Werf, the runner-up winner of the Misset Horeca Terrace Top 100 in the Netherlands. You can enjoy afforable luxury (with local & pure products) during lunch & diner with the best view of the harbor and the authentic city of Veere.
Werf is a recently refurbished restaurant, which reopened in May 2015. The in-house architecture is beautiful and the view from the restaurant to the pitoresque town of Veere is nice.
The food is 'okey', but the service is poor. The service we experienced was very 'amicale' to such an extent that it became funny. This is realy not what you expect in a decor such as Werf. It has realy negatively influenced the overall rating.

Set in a beautiful little square in the lovely little town of Veere is an amazing cafe/restaurant called Suster Anna. From the outside it's a lovely old Dutch town house but on the inside it's an amazing modern, contemporary restaurant with some astounding architectural features. Big open dining area, mezzanine balconies, conservatory and a quiet, colourful garden; take your pick of where you want to eat.
The menu is actually surprising with it's choice as at first glimpse it appears to be pancakes and more pancakes but a read through reveals some fantastic dishes.
The smoked salmon and samphire omelette was unbelievably tasty and the pasta dishes looked very generous and there were certainly no complaints about the pancakes from our table.
Admittedly the drinks are not the biggest and we did end up ordering a few rounds as it was such a hot day but this is the only fault we could find. Price was good as was the service with the staff being friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend for a little something special and different for lunch.

Even though there is nothing much for vegetarians, the waiter (I didn't ask his name) was very friendly and suggested good options. He even asked the cook to make some variations in the regular menu to suit our diet. The portions were of good size. Looked like its quite popular with the locals too. They have a nice bar with lot of options.

This small (40 seat) restaurant in Goes has the best combination of atmosphere, menu plan and quality of food. The menu is a comprehensive list of starters, mains and Deserts with each dish costing the same. You order however many you wish and pay the unit cost x number of dishes you have. Each dish is of the very finest quality and presentation, small portion packed with flavour and most importantly, supported by exquisite sauces.
The restaurant, owned by a local butcher and very ably supported by first class management and a brilliant chef.
The experience allows you to have a wide variety of flavours while not going away feeling over full.
Please go if you read this review. A truly small, top quality establishment that deserves support and is worth making that extra effort to visit.
