Great Food, Fresh, Seasonal Fare, Music, Art & Fun
I was visiting campus nearby with a co-worker when we decided to have lunch before we departed. Normally I search for places before trying. But based the reviews here, we selected this cafe. Of course my first thought at the name of this place was the British TV series "Blackadder." Turns out the name of the place is based on owner's maiden name. It was a good thing we were early for lunch, because this place filled up fast. The food was fabulous. I tried their Tuna Edamame Bowl - half order ($7) & a cup of butternut squash soup ($5). After tasting the wonderful food I splurged on dessert a lavender almond cake ($5). Honestly this was one of the best places I have ever eaten at. I can see why it is popular with the locals. It is a small place but well worth the visit. I am sorry that I am not closer to Warrensburg to make more frequent visits.

Finely ground beef, same sauce different name. Boring and too much lettuce, not enough substance. I've had the best from Mexico throughout the southwest. Believe me this isn't it. Portions could be smaller and quality should be more. Take two antacids and call it a night.

Just visiting the local area, and found this little place just down the street from my friend's apartment. Considering this is a very small town, it was refreshing to find something new. The owner is quite friendly. So go and enjoy a cup of tea at this quaint local store, maybe buy something. There's even a refreshing small menu there.

After walking out of Panthers down the street I happened to find Millers. Wise choice to change restaurants! Food was excellent and was served very fast (faster than Jimmy John's). Service was very good and waiter was excellent! A must stop if in the area!

We were camping at a beautiful state park, Knob Noster State Park, in Knob Noster, Missouri. We got a little bored and went about two miles to town to grab something to eat. We saw the Blue Sky Pizza restaurant, which is very small and decided to give it a try. Man, were we surprised. The place is small (eight tables, total of 32 seats) but is very nice on the inside and very, very clean. We had terrific service (thanks, Kristen!) and the pizza is St. Louis style, which is a very crisp crust. It was one of the best pizzas that I have ever had, and I am nearly sixty years young! The owner was very nice and the entire staff was very courteous and the owner even bought us a complimentary homemade cobbler! I was told that the owner grinds his own sausage on a daily basis. We had sausage and pepperoni and it was GREAT. There is bottle beer on the menu and it was very cold! One of the cooks came out, when things got a little slow, and broke out his ukulele and sang to us! That was very cool, for sure, and one of the waitresses sung along with him. All of the tables had crayons and the place is very family friendly. I am looking forward to my next camping trip to the area so I can sneak in and have fresh, fantastic pizza!!

Who hasn't had subway?? Well I know if you haven't tried the new flatizzas you should try them! So good! This location is the only subway I go to since I only go there for lunch. Staff is friendly, except for this one guy who gave me a blank stare instead of asking me what kind of sub I would like! Then there's this one lady I'm assuming she's the store manager/owner. Last time I saw her she just stood on the side watching the workers like a hawk watching a field mouse! She made ME feel uncomfortable and I'm just a customer. If she wants to make sure her workers are doing the right thing she should definitely learn to have a more appealing approach.

I ordered #16- Bacon Breakfast Toaster. It was very good and the food was ready in a blink of the eye. The bacon was perfect, the bread was toasted and the egg was just right. The tots were crispy and hot. The only negative was the cherry lineage. Taste was fine but the cup was 90% ice.

The Panther Steakhouse has steak on the menu, but it is really a very fine example of a small/medium town cafe with a broad selection. It is definitely casual dress. The outside shows its origins of a 1950s-60s drive-in (the canopy is now used as a parking area).
I've been several times, with a small group, a group of more than 20, and alone. From the reubens to the special chicken-fried steak, the food is good "comfort food" quality.
The menu is in hillbilly, but most everyone can translate it. The decor includes a really great genuine international Coca-Cola collection.
The wait staff is friendly and professional. When you're done eating, head for the check-out counter, your bill will be there.
It's not open for breakfast, so eat lightly in the morning to save room for a big lunch here.
